    Chapter 205

With the construction of the large experimental zone complete, Su Hao divided each day into two distinct parts.

In the mornings and evenings, he remained inside Marble Space, studying and reading.

The afternoons were devoted entirely to gene modification experiments on various animals.

His life had become exceptionally disciplined.

The purpose of these genetic modifications was to guide different animals into evolving along various mutant pathways while implanting the special genetic marker targeted by Gene Toxin 2. This marker would then be inherited through future generations.

Once enough modified mutant beasts had been produced, Su Hao released them into the enclosed Mutant Beast Zone.

Later, he found the process far too slow.

So he simply injected the modified beasts with Spring Vitality, dramatically increasing their breeding rate. After their numbers reached a sufficient level, he released entire populations into the experimental zone.

Even then, Su Hao wasn't satisfied.

He worried that the mutant beasts he had painstakingly cultivated might stupidly wander into the Barrier Tree belt and kill themselves.

To solve that problem, he created a new species of thorny shrub that emitted an intensely pungent odor. The shrubs were planted throughout the Barrier Tree belt, instinctively driving animals away before they even reached the danger zone.

    Step by step...

He identified problems as they appeared.

Then solved them one by one.

The entire project steadily moved forward.

    ---

    Two years passed.

Su Hao was now twenty-six years old.

Thanks to his enhanced brain, his learning speed had increased dramatically. He absorbed knowledge like a sponge soaking up water.

His understanding of the world—and even the universe itself—grew deeper by the day.

He gradually mastered increasingly sophisticated methods of thinking, steadily transforming himself into what could truly be called a genius.

The Mutant Beast Zone project was also nearing completion.

Another six months of observation would be enough.

After that, every level of mutant beast could be left to reproduce naturally.

    ---

    It was winter.

Heavy snow covered the earth in a blanket of white.

Wrapped in a thick black coat, Yashan looked far more mature than before.

The moment he saw Su Hao, however, his serious expression disappeared, replaced by his usual cheerful smile.

    "Boss Wei!"

"The Mutant Beast Zone has been operating very smoothly."

"We assigned three Morph Kings to monitor the movements of the mutant beasts around the clock."

"They discovered that every beast has naturally established its own territory."

"Very few attempt to leave it."

    ---

    Yashan continued excitedly,

    "Just as you predicted..."

"The strongest mutant beasts occupy the center."

    "The farther outward you go..."

    "The weaker the beasts become."

"As long as the powerful beasts have enough food..."

"They don't bother expanding their territory."

"That leaves enough living space for the weaker ones."

"And after the weaker beasts repeatedly fail to cross the Barrier Tree belt..."

    "They gradually stop trying."

"So this is the ecosystem you mentioned."

    "Although..."

"Our experimental zone still feels rather small."

    ---

    As Yashan spoke...

Three four-year-old children nearby had finally finished building a snowman.

    Su Hao bent down.

Picked up a handful of snow.

    Rolled it into a snowball.

    Then casually threw it.

    Bang!

The snowman instantly exploded into pieces.

    The three children froze.

    Moments later...

Their cries echoed across the courtyard.

    ---

    After they finally stopped crying...

They quietly moved farther away from Su Hao before beginning to build another snowman.

    Watching them...

Su Hao laughed with great satisfaction.

Then he turned back toward Yashan.

"We still need another ten years of observation."

"Build an observation tower outside the Mutant Beast Zone."

"Arrange people to monitor it continuously."

    "The ecosystem is finally stabilizing."

"Hopefully no major problems will appear."

    ---

    Yashan nodded.

    "Understood."

    "Also..."

"Many of the mutant beasts we released during the early stages couldn't adapt to the new environment."

    "They've almost all gone extinct."

"The survivors all possess much stronger adaptability."

    "They've already established breeding populations."

"As long as we continue introducing new species..."

"Natural selection will gradually create a stable ecosystem."

    ---

    Su Hao nodded.

    "Is there enough food?"

    ---

    "There wasn't at first."

"But after we continuously released large herbivores..."

"The food supply is now sufficient."

"A fast-breeding mountain goat has become the primary prey for most mutant beasts."

    "In the future..."

"We should discover even better species."

    ---

Everything had now reached a relatively stable stage.

The Temple Forest Society could maintain the project without Su Hao personally overseeing every detail.

After thinking for a moment, Su Hao said,

    "Starting next spring..."

    "Open the Mutant Experimental Classes."

    "Four classes."

"Two hundred ten-year-old children in total."

"Afterward, recruit another two hundred every year."

    "If conditions permit..."

    "Gradually increase enrollment."

"But always keep the numbers under strict control."

"The Mutant Beast Zone must continue developing in a healthy manner."

    ---

    Yashan's eyes lit up.

He had been waiting for those words for a long time.

    "Yes, Boss Wei!"

    ---

    Su Hao continued,

    "Before the classes begin..."

    "Establish the rules."

    "For the time being..."

"Hunting mutant beasts of the same level—or lower—is forbidden."

"The Mutant Beast Zone exists for evolution."

    "It isn't a slaughterhouse."

    "If someone refuses to obey..."

    "They won't be admitted."

"If they break the rules afterward..."

"Their mutant abilities will be revoked."

    ---

    In Su Hao's opinion...

Anyone who couldn't defeat an opponent of equal strength without relying on bullying weaker creatures simply wasn't qualified to continue evolving.

If they died during a fair challenge...

    So be it.

    Every choice carried risks.

    ---

    Yashan blinked in surprise.

"Mutant abilities... can actually be revoked?"

    "You mean... kill them?"

    ---

    Su Hao laughed.

    "Of course not."

"I've developed a special species of small rodent."

    "It secretes a unique liquid."

"As long as enough of that liquid is injected into a mutant's body..."

"All of their mutant abilities disappear."

    "They become ordinary people again."

    ---

Yashan sucked in a sharp breath.

Instinctively, he felt a chill run down his spine.

    "That... little rodent..."

    ---

    Su Hao casually pointed nearby.

    "You've seen it before."

"The one with the tuft of red fur on its head."

    ---

    Yashan glanced over.

Then quietly took two steps backward.

    ---

    Su Hao smiled.

"I call it the Regression Mouse."

    "And the liquid it secretes..."

    "Regression Serum."

    "From now on..."

"It will be controlled only by the highest level of the Temple Forest Society."

    ---

    He looked at Yashan seriously.

"Never let anyone know that the serum comes from the Regression Mouse."

"The people raising the mice shouldn't know what the serum is used for."

    "And once it's extracted..."

"Alter both its color and taste."

    "Do you understand?"

    ---

Yashan inhaled the icy air deeply.

    "I understand, Boss Wei."

    ---

    He couldn't help sighing inwardly.

Boss Wei... is simply too terrifying.

It seemed there was nothing Boss Wei couldn't accomplish.

    Every invention...

    Every plan...

    Completely exceeded everyone's imagination.

Even calling Boss Wei the God of Creation no longer felt exaggerated.

If the New Era Project truly succeeded...

His status among the Zhuhua people would likely stand alongside the legendary Great God Zhuhua himself.

    ---

    Su Hao suddenly asked,

"Have you made contact with the other six major cities?"

    ---

    Yashan smiled.

    "We have."

"One particularly clever fellow suggested turning everything we're doing into nursery rhymes and children's stories."

"Then spreading them throughout the six cities."

    "It's already showing results."

"Many people have started traveling here from distant places."

"If we continue for a while longer..."

"Most people in those cities will already be half convinced."

"Negotiations later will become much easier."

    ---

    Su Hao raised an eyebrow.

    "That fellow has some talent."

    ---

    As he spoke...

    He casually made another snowball.

    Bang!

The newly rebuilt snowman collapsed again.

    ---

    This time...

The three children completely lost their tempers.

They threw themselves onto the snow-covered ground, rolling around while crying loudly.

    "Uncle Wei!"

    "Give us our snowman back!"

    ---

    Among the three...

    Ying'er was the quietest.

    Heli was merely stunned.

    But the youngest...

    Xike...

    Was by far the fiercest.

    She angrily ran to Yashan.

    "Dad!"

    "Look!"

"Uncle Wei destroyed our snowman again!"

    ---

    Yashan scratched his head.

    He nodded seriously.

    "Mm."

    "Dad saw it."

    ---

The other two children looked at him hopefully.

    Surely...

Their father would stand up for them now.

    ---

    Instead...

    Yashan nodded again.

    "So..."

    "Go build another one."

"So Uncle Wei can smash it again."

    ---

    Su Hao: "..."

    Ying'er: "..."

    Heli: "..."

    Xike: "..."

    ---

    Meanwhile...

The Temple Forest Society continued expanding at astonishing speed.

One region after another came under its administration.

    Opposition gradually disappeared.

The power of countless people working toward the same goal proved far greater than anyone had imagined.

    As the Society expanded...

The entire world quietly began changing.

Yet Su Hao—the true architect behind everything—never personally involved himself in its daily affairs.

As long as the overall direction remained correct...

He simply allowed events to unfold naturally.

    ---

How the future would ultimately develop...

    Even Su Hao couldn't predict.

    He knew only one thing.

Reality would inevitably diverge from his original expectations.

    But...

    He didn't care.

Reaching this stage was already his way of giving back to this world.

Whether the Zhuhua people and the mutants could seize this opportunity and truly change their own destiny...

    Would ultimately depend on themselves.

    ---

Su Hao returned to Marble Space.

With a wave of his hand...

    His study...

    His living room...

    Everything disappeared.

Leaving only the vast, boundless Marble Space stretching endlessly before his consciousness.

Lol this is funny as hell
the youngest, Hiker, had the most courage and the fiercest demeanor. He ran angrily to Yashan and complained, “Dad! Look at Uncle Wei, he ruined our snowman!”

Yashan scratched his head, nodding in agreement, “Yeah, Dad saw it!”

Ying Nair and Heli looked at their father in shock from a distance—this was it, weren’t you supposed to stand up for your own kids?

Unexpectedly, Yashan said, “You three, go and make more snowmen for Uncle Wei to smash!”
