I finished the story and it was entertaining. The title is ancestor system so i don't understand why some people say it's not right for ancestor to As the story goes you can see how author is having problems keeping the pace of the story with strength of the characters. The ending was rushed and the story still had a space for improvement and little bit of daily affairs... There are still some questions left unanswered but nothing that will make you feel like it is not the end of the story.
The story is about rise of a clan and it told right that-clans rise from being low to the top clan....
The only problem i had was the power system. I don't know if it is the translators fault or author being...something...but the class title was off.
All in all, if you want to read an average story that is you can enjoy this is a good one.

People who want the original story, "Fantasy: Ancestor Simulator", and I don't know why the translator changed the original story it's pretty good even on mtl nation this have 5\5 as rating,

This story is a fairly good and entertaining system novel with a fairly unique premise. Story wise it's definitely above average and has good potential. The problem though, is that whoever does the translation for this novel has completely botched it in a way that's damn near unforgivable.

This novel is a classic cultivation novel featuring an Mc with a system. Yet for some god forsaken reason the translator decided that instead of just translating the novel they would also try to westernize it and rewrite parts to fit the translators change. So instead of cultivation the translators tried to pass this off as mages using spells and wands like some Chinese Harry Potter. Before anyone says anything, yes there are many Chinese novels with western names and themes that are good such as WMW, Coiling dragon, Throne of magical arcana, and others. This novel however, was never intended to be this way. After around 100 chapters something happens and all the changes made by the translators kinda just start falling apart. All the names get jumbled up and randomly change, and they stop trying to push the bs mage thing as hard. A big example is one character at first has a magic ice wand, which after the translators started shitting the bed we find out was actually a fire dragon sword the whole time and they changed it for literally no reason. Aside from the changing of cultivation ranks, techniques, items, and powers, the absolute worst changes are the names of the characters. In the raw the main character is named Xu Mo, the translation gives him the name Nicholas Romo. Another two examples are characters exactly called Xu Linyan and Xiao Lei. What are they called in the translation? Ron and Dick. If you're gonna do a westernization the least you can do is find some better names for main characters than Ron and Dick.

Maybe it's just me, but there's just something profoundly arrogant about taking another person's work and then deciding to strip away the entire culture it's steeped in to make it fit the localization they're trying to go for. The real kicker in all this, is that the novel is on multiple mtl sites with fairly good readability. For someone with a mid to good understanding of Chinese they could easily use that and make a damn good faithful translation. Yet for some reason this team went out of their way to bastardize this series. Truly sad.
