    Ananke’s story might honestly be the saddest in Shadow Slave.
    The idea of carrying your entire people’s fate alone… with no answers, no guarantee, just desperation… is terrifying.
    She’s basically been living in endless loneliness, surviving off a fraction of hope that might not even exist.
    And the worst part is, she didn't even have the luxury to give up… because it’s not just her life on the line.

    Nephis took a sip from her cup and then said evenly:

    “Me too. I like it too."

    Ananke looked at her with a faint hint of confusion in her eyes, then gave Nephis a smile.

    “Thank you as well, my lady."


    I may be reading it wrong but it seems that she likes Sunny more than Nephis. Or that Nephis is copying Sunny and her reaction is more like "Okaaay?? Thanks? You guys really like tea."

      I think it's awkward Neph also wanting some attention from Ananke. That little smile she had at the end was cute – it didn't come off as Neph being all " this is my lover, back off. " at least to me.

      We've seen Nephis being possessive over Sunny before ( like when she nearly burned Death Singer for suggesting Neph share Sunny with her ).

    Don't forget, VTB not only took fated, it also took the shade of it's offspring from Sunny's shadow Sea soul. Sunny couldn't find that shade when he was checking his sea soul.

    PS when the birds and the bees mate, a stork will deliver a human baby. That's why human babies came from birds, bees and storks but in this case VTB is the stork as well as the bird
