    Such is the fallacy of having hatred as your fuel. Once it's all burnt up, so is your desire to continue.

      It would be a mistake for us, because we have a lot more in our lives. For us, giving in to hatred means losing most of what we are and who we were. Burning it like fuel. And hatred will be fire, a spark, an energy.
      But what if we're talking about a character who doesn't have much else besides hatred?

    He allowed hatred to consume him. Mordret was full of bitterness, anger, and unbearable resentment, of course. Naturally, he wished to avenge himself on the Clan Valor — and on his heartless father, most of all. But in truth, the hatred Mordret felt was not that overwhelming, at least not at first.

    Poor Anvil, it's all because of that worst flaw that destined him to fail in anything and everything.

    He failed as a father not because he didn't love Mordred. He failed because he couldn't love anyone at all.

    Thats why I consider it the #1 worst of all flaws. Mainly because there's no work around.

    Love, inspiration, desire and longing.

    They may seem unimportant at first glance, but thats only when we have these in our life, we often only descover its value after we loose it;

    otherwise life wouldn't be worth living anyways

      He failed because he couldn't love anyone at all.

      He could love. It would just be painful if you loved a living person. His way out of suppressing emotions is just one option. You can love your craft, beautiful views, moments of peace after stress, and the simple act of consuming media content.
      If he were a Japanese hikkan who was destined to become an archmage after Bus-kun, he wouldn't have noticed the flaw.

      It sucks to be him that's for sure, but there's at least two better 'solution' to his flaw. Either he live in seclusion, or be honest about it and live with his loved ones even though it's fleeting. By trying to evade his flaw he's basically doomed his loved ones anyways, but now with his own hands rather than the spell's

        He made a deal with Asterion to suppress his love in exchange for the war god lineage.

        Im guessing the flaw takes effect as soon as he starts to love something or someone because the perfect sword he forged is broken as soon as it's complete.

      Totally agree, absolute worst flaw ever. It guarantees you can never hold anyone dear or allow yourself to experience the best thing about life.
