    I wouldn't be surprised if there is an 8th god. If every power has its equal opposite, that doesn't work with 7 gods.
    But that doesn't work with all the numerology in the series.

      I guess Gods were opposed to the Unknown ? I'm not entirely sure to remember correctly but I don't think gods were the only being that came out of the spark of life
      Also we can argue that Daemons, who are the gods' flaws, have wills that counter the gods in a way or another

        The gods are opposed to the unknown? yes. The Flame (therefore the entirety of existence) is opposite to the Unknown (one is everchanging, while the other is constant).

        Gods werent the only beings born from the Flame. They were the 7 biggest fragments of it. The rest of the stray sparks are what gave birth to Humans.

        Not necessarily, the daemons being god's flaw is a more hypothetical thing imo. A 'flaw' is basically the world's representation that nothing is perfect in a sense. What we are talking about here has more to do with source element than anything.

      this doesnt mean two things have to oppose each other in perfect pairs. the gods arent just a single "element" or something like that anyway. Like how "Nothing" and "True Darkness" are closely related but not same. Death is antithesis of Life doesnt mean Life is antithesis of Death. True Darkness is antithesis of Shadows as well as Light. your logic is just way too straightforward without any thinking put into it.

    And for more conformation, the gate to Void was present at the heart of shadow realm, which is shadow god himself.
    Shadow god = shadow realm
    That arises new question, how did gods and deamons came to heart of shadow realm when war happened, they were obviously not avatars, if they were they wouldn't have stood equal to deamons.
