      What stopping Asterion from just....socializing again? I mean it's been almost a decade, iirc, since Sunny became Fateless. Is there nobody who knows him now?
      If Asterion is erased from the tapestry of fate, he literally just has to go to the first person he meets and introduce himself.

    Sometimes I genuinely wonder if everyone is just ignoring the entire f#cking ark and not reading the chapters. Do you just rush down to the comments to spout nonsense? It's so simple it's driving me insane listening to people complain about the wrong things. Complain about the writing style, or the power system, or whatever else but complaining about problems that have answers that are been spoon fed to you is actually retarded. You're not even attempting to use your brain. The worst of it is the people saying sunny and neph should have just killed asterion on the mirror lake. It's been repeated so many times since his introduction that he is an idea. An infection of the mind that CANNOT BE KILLED unless everyone forgets him. That's almost impossible because they themselves know of him so they are also perpetuating his survival. They can't take the same route as the previous sovereigns because it directly conflicts with their goal. The preservation of as many humans as possible. That's why he's mad at mordret in the first place. Again, it was said literally in the the chapter. The people were still alive and therefore capable of being saved. Im losing my mind people please

        Two problems. 1 it was explained that the only reason Sunny's fate could be stolen was because of how weak he was. Comparing an ascended to a supreme is like day and night. Second is it wouldn't actually kill him physically. They would simply forget him and he would be able to start the infection again but with the added bonus that they won't be trying to stop him

            Yeah and tbh I feel like it's a little lazy of a solution precisely because of what I said. Sunny is a shadow, so how come he doesn't die when light is shined on him? It's a bit anticlimactic is all. I was expecting they'd have to use sorcery or something to do with Oblivion's corpse.     Here it is again downplaying the mc so that side character get relevance. What happened to the sunny who used his wits to kill and outmaneuver stronger opponents? And here he is, arguing with someone who he knows can't be moved in his opinion. I firmly believe that Lord Asterion is a worthy and strong antagonist but still I can't help but think that sunphis are being dumb.

    And don't you try to argue against me. Because no matter how many arguments you say that there is no other way or anything you must remember that mordret, sunny, Cassie are all WAY SMARTER than us combined.

      Mordret can beat Asterion by challenging him into a soul duel, obviously bruh. Soul Duel bypasses Asterion's immortality, so yeah.

    It's truly comical that you misinterpreted my little criticism and ignored the key point of the matter, and on top of that, you think something here has been "proven."

    My point was never about what you're trying to imply, but only about the lack of exploration of world elements and the fact that all narrators are automatically treated as reliable, with everything that was tried before being treated as set in stone. The method that Sunny and Nephis will use to deal with Asterion is proof of this; the Shadow Slave universe is mutable, there is no "immortality," and I wanted to see them trying more ways with intelligent use of memories and abilities, even if it meant failing, so that we, as readers, would have a greater basis for judging that everything within their reach was done, giving weight to the situation. I find it very strange that Sunny, as an almost-divine being with an alien mind, has so little confidence in his abilities (which are not few).

    My criticism isn't about the direction of the story (which I'm loving), it's just that I wanted to see more explored. We have numerous saints, ascended and awakend, thousands of memories, and none of that was used? Simply because he was one rank higher, Asterion overpowered all of that?
