    I got it! I know how Asterion is gonna die and where Sunny and Nephis are. They are in the pyramid. Asterion can only be killed when there is no one to remember his name . The only one who can erase all memory of his name everywhere all at once is the vile thieving bird. Sunny and nephis are trying to lure the bird out of the pyramid and let it kill Asterion. The alternative is that Sunny imitates the bird by pulling on the strings of fate to rip out Asterions true name and with that erase all memories or they kill the bird in hopes of getting a memory that can do that. The bird is a necessary plot point regardless of Asterion and the story isn't going that long anymore so I don't think he will do a pyramid arc after the plague arc and only then do the 5th nightmare, but put the bird and aterion in the same arc instead.

      Nah, he won the moment he forced sunny and nephis into thinking that he is not too much of a threat to kill all his followers and bind him in some underground prison or push him from the chained islets into the burning void.

      Or to just throw him into the hollow mountains where nothing can kill him or trap him.

      You remember the fact that even daemons were afraid of nothing.
      (I dont remember if their name was nothing or something else)

      There are many ways to kill aster. Just drop him near some unholy creature from some deadzone. Or send him to moon hoping that the unholy creature will eat him this time.
      Or atleast give you time to attempt the 5th NM.

      Or even corrupt him with sunnys knowledge.
