Just dawned on me that Asterion can be a metaphor for communism or 1984, which is communism to the extreme

In Greek myth, Asterion (the Minotaur) is locked in the labyrinth, fed sacrifices to sustain the system. In this metaphorical retelling:
        - The sacrifices are the citizens, consumed by ideology.
        - The labyrinth is the state apparatus.
        - Asterion is the embodiment of communism’s monstrous extreme—an ideology that began with promises of equality but mutated into a devouring beast.
        7
So, in this lens, Asterion is not merely a monster but the living metaphor of communism’s shadow, he's a beast that thrives on conformity, erases individuality, and traps humanity in an endless maze of control, much like Orwell’s 1984.

Also aster means "star", "star-like" or "son of a star" in Ancient Greek which can be closely tied to Nephis Star or Ruin? Maybe it's a hint for Asterion's demise who knows?

The ones you read about are the only ones left because likes out weigh the dislikes. I wrote a lot more interesting, creative, sometimes humorous and controversial comments that got ragebaited and tons of dislikes so i had to delete most of them to rid myelf of all the hate.
            7
Unfortunately the freedom to express ones own opinion is not appreciated nor respected by most.
            7
When I say I think this and that, most children will rage out and flood me with hate and disrespect due to conflicting beliefs.
            7
For Example, lets say I said "I believe Asterion was actually sunny and rains biological father." There's gonna be a ton of rage and hateful comments to follow. Some may even use personal attacks. How? You guys don't know my RL? All you can see is an online persona thats not at all an accurate representation of the person.
Not even just me, didnt you notice i'm the only one that put +1 like on lenothingeverhappens?
            7
Everyone here should have the right to say what they think but I'll draw the line when the young kiddies are imposing their personal beliefs on others and hate them for it, if others don't conform to their own ideology. Thats a type supremist bigotry, where they believe they're superior to others but in reality they just have a closed off understanding and a narrow mindset.
            7
Go on click on that dislike -1 I'll delete it later anyways

That's... a lot of dissatisfaction with dislikes. And I get why you'd be upset. But I think that you should understand that somebody disliking your comment and then speaking against it dosent undermine your freedom to express opinions at all. Its just that when you have the freedom to present an opinion, others have the freedom to like or dislike that opinion and present their own view about it. It's not a good or bad thing. Its just how comment sections work. I liked the symbolism you spotted btw.

If we go with that idea of a metaphor, I guess that Asterion represents late-stage capitalism better than communism.

See, he is willing to devour everything in favor of his own growth, just like the “profit above all else” mindset of capitalism. We can also bring up the vision of the environmental damage that capitalism does to the world, consuming resources to feed itself in an endless loop of greed and gluttony.

Not only that, but 1984 is referred to as anti-capitalist propaganda in countries like China and Russia, in the same way that it is portrayed as anti-communist propaganda in the USA. In this case, it’s just a matter of point of view.

Now that I think about it, you're right, it is a matter of perspective.

Maybe every all-encompassing ideology is hungry for something and it will stomp on human dignity and individuality just to fuel itself.

I saw the hive-mind component of communism in Asterion, You saw the insatiable hunger of capitalism, together we come to hate and repel every kind of ideology

Orwell was a socialist, pro communist to the extend of not liking communism regimes of his time (china and russia) that had perverted it. (He even denonciated communists agents at the end of his life)

1984 was anti fascist. Then it was recuperated by CIA that got the rights from Orwell's wife in the goal to fight against communism (yes cia)

Orwell was mostly an anti fascist (far right). Then the term was used against far left, but it was later on.

1984 is not a metaphor for communism, it is one for fascism. Read the biography of Orwell, he disliked some communist regims (china, russia.. and there agents), but liked communism in its not perverted way, and was a socialist himself.

Then some instrumentalized the book and used it for there own purposes (like the cia) to fight communism. Sorry if i misspeled some words eng is not my first language.

So no, originaly not at least.

I didn’t know it, the fact of the matter is that for me 1984 is the demonstration of an oppressive rule, so oppressive that it pervades the personal life of individuals. I find this form of government perverted and disgusting; from this example I draw parallels to either fascism or communism. I suppose me proposing communism as the first parallel on my mind tells how efficient the ‘murican propaganda has been
