Cassie's feat of breaking fate is absolutely insane, it is even an overkill for reaching supremacy, and she did that as an ascended. She is the goat

I guess the whole of the future was riding on him and he removed himself out of it essentially being dead to fate hence no more future for everyone else.

Actually, now that I think about it, Sunny losing his fate was truly a singular event. Usually. VTB stealing his fate would have killed him shortly after, but because it was right as the nightmare ended, it was timed just perfectly for him to survive.

btw, wouldn't it be poetic if by the end of this novel, we will finally learn about Auro of the Nine in more details, and even better if somehow Auro remembers and recognize Sunny as the slave boy. Everything ends just as the beginning.

Just a fruit for thought. Continue reading 👌🏻

Because humans form so many connections through our lives and because Sunny was fated on top of that, I think Sunny tore countless strings and a lot of them were probably really important. I think Cassie said it best when she described it as a man shaped hole in the world

ill try not to get too abstract but bare with me concepts are always abstract. Me personally I believe that the fate sunny escaped is the linear and understandable timeline, a predetermined script of causality if you will, meanwhile the one that the weaver was trying to escape was its metaphysical, non linear and expansive counterpart, which encompasses the framework of reality itself, of course you may make the argument that g3 has always had a very mechanical definition of fate throughout the story, that is correct, but at the same time, with how vague G3 gets the farther along the path of ascension it’s not ridiculous to attribute that to the concept of fate as well, G3 went from increased speed at the cost of lifespan to abstract concepts like mass or death etc. Plus, if fate was as simple as sunny has made it out to be any sort of time manipulation would completely tear that rigid and linear structure in half, that is why a more metaphysical concept of fate is necessary to prevent that plot hole. Of course this is purely speculation on my part but consider it as you read
