Sunny not realizing these things is really strange, what they nerfed the most was his intelligence, he doesn't even seem like a sovereign with 10 years of experience. In the most recent arcs he basically only reacts to what is thrown at him.

I agree with this 100%. Other than how does he have 10 years experience being a sovereign? Did we have an eight or nine year time skip.
But they’re making him dumb as hell and it’s annoying af

Mordret coming out alive here was the most obvious development. I think everyone thought about it, but they didn't mention it because it was simply too obvious. No one thought Mordret would die here.

Second, Sunny isn't a normal human, man. He's literally a demigod with experience in this area. Him being deceived and manipulated at the beginning of the novel when he's inexperienced is completely understandable, but at this point? What's even logical in him accepting a deal with a genocidal man who's his greatest enemy and the guy who traumatized him, for a reason like "information about Asterion," or not thinking that Mordret could absorb the mist from others, like??? It doesn't make sense for him to act like a guy who seems to be going through his first nightmare and is surprised by the mystique of the dream realm. If any character is going to manipulate or deceive Sunny, it needs to be written more elaborately and make sense.

Not to mention sunny at the start of the series was RIDICULOUSLY intelligent, way too much so, what he did to that awakened tyrant with the cart is simply mind boggling, i think G3 like all other authors is slowly losing his passion for Shadow Slave

Literally NO ONE considered this, like I saw zero theories about this, but it also makes complete sense. Guiltythree strikes again.

In hindsight, it should have been obvious that Modret can absorb the power of others if saint has a minor affinity to nothingness modret is has a major one.
