I had a smile reading until Tamar just name dropped Asterion and the smile vanished. This is some LoTM stuff with mentioning Amon or Adam.

I'm still curious how Asterions domain work exactly, does a person need to just know the name like, or just having the 'thought' about it, does it function like the Puppeteer Moth that an 'idea' has to be planted for him to make a connection.

if you say his name, he will notice and spy on you, his domain grows the more people say his name, doesn't matter if they belong to a domain already, he will get stronger just by people saying his name. that is why song and valor teamed up on him to supress him

Do y'all think one of Asterion's abilities is to replace ideas in the minds of others? Like how Tamar here thought of Asterion and that's what came out instead of Corsair.

Or it's the other way around? Rain instead thought of Asterion instead of Corsair?

Either way, he's definitely a mind f#cker. Just his name alone has this effect while on the moon.

Remember Cassies dream in the forgotten shore? how she mentioned a lonely star burning in the sky and then went on to mention effie, kai, sunny, nephis? What if that star was asterion? A distant star, ever-present in the heavens—always watching, yet forever out of reach, too high above the world of mortals. Still, its light touches the earth, shaping it in subtle, powerful ways. At times, it offers protection and guidance to the vulnerable… and at others, it illuminates the path for those who hunt them. He will be a GREAT manipulator of the story. DON'T DOUBT THE DREAMSPAWN.

Do yall think mordret could be back? It kinda makes sense since i dont think anyone else knows about asterion since ki song and anvil erased him from history. Unless some of the people from the dream realm where asterion came from is alive, i dont see anyone else having knowledge of asterion. Mordret might be trying to bring asterion back to wreak havoc on the world after losing his main purpose in life.

Sorry guys did I miss when it was mentioned Asterion’s powers have to do with knowledge I figured the reason we hadn’t heard of him was because he was just f#cking around on the moon.

There have been several mentions. Mordret mentioned that his domain is not territorial and is more of an idea, similar to Neph’s. He has the lineage of the heart god after all.
And Ki Song once told Cassie:

"In any case... the Dreamspawn grew intrigued by the moon, and so, he endeavored to visit it. And using the chance, Anvil and I made sure that he never returned. We massacred his followers and erased his name from the network, from the culture, from the annals of history, forbade the government to ever mention him again, and killed everyone who had ever met him face-to-face — well, most of them, at least."

A wicked smile twisted her alluring lips.

"There were no Citadels under his control, and we had hidden our existence — the existence of the Sovereigns — from the very beginning to limit the spread of his fame, and therefore of his Domain... even if it forced all three of us into the shadows. So, his Domain crumbled in an instant, and he was stranded on the moon, his power severely diminished. We had hoped that he would die there, but of course, we weren't that lucky. That fiend still draws breath out there, in the coldness of space, looking at us from above. He can even exert his influence somewhat, sometimes, albeit not too much of it."

And although it is not explicit it was later mentioned that Cassie surmised that it had something to do with people knowing about his existence and especially his name.

For some reason Ast*room popping up in a random conversation felt like a jumpscare. I just thought ‘terrible shit’s about to go down’

If sovereign gates can inherit treasures of one’s attributes/aspect, then I feel like aster might have the ability to go where there’s knowledge of him
