    This feels like such a red herring. Yea in the flashback this happened and was a huge issue with a big scare, but I doubt it wasn’t resolved. I don’t believe for a second the Anvil of current is a mirror creature and Jest is just playing along.

      If the current Anvil was other, he wouldn't call Mordret a monster, so no the other will probablt be taken care of either by Jest next chapter, or by Anvil himself if he come back soon.

      The reason its an important memory for Jest is either that the other birthed Mordret (most likely reason) or that he killed everyone while Jest was away

    Ok, crazy theory: The Anvil in Bastion is reflection and he sleeps with Gwyn and boom we have Mordet. That would explain Mordet powers of mirror.
