    I've said it before, but after these last chapters it became even clearer, the transformations that make the user intangible or something non-solid are very powerful. Yes, there are characters with transformations into beasts or monsters that are strong, Kai and Effie for example, but on the other hand, all the characters that have a transformation of the first type that were shown so far in the novel are all very strong, Jet, Nephis, Noctis, Summer Knight and now Morgan, there is literally no weak character with this type of transformation.

            Both Morgan and Modret are part of the new generation of awakened they will not fall, only the old generation will fall since they don’t have much backstory but Morgan and Modret will make it.

            Mordret will enter his sister, to try to defeat her in the most shamefull way, while both trying to give her a chance to win and to win her body if he succeds, as a form of trophy and to f#ck with his father
            He will also do so, because it is not only the ultimate form of defeat but because it goes with what he wanted to do in the first place : get rid of valor in the most grandiose kind of way and because he might just be curious as to what his sister dear had in stock for him
            And like the dictons says, curiosity killed the cat, except that he won't exaclty die of it, but you get the gist
            Now, that's as for why he will enter her

            Now, why will they both survive ?
            Well, the answer is pretty obvious, it's because there isn't enough characters to go around and that the author is probably not planning on introducing new ones, otherwise, he would have already done so, and saints aren't exaclty commun in these parts and a useless friend doesn't exaclty fit the profile either

            So he doesn't really have much of a choice there, I mean he does, but his decision on how to go about it is pretty obvious

            Now, beside all of that, Morgan still need to be around to keep the sister joke about nephis alive, she still need to be alive to lead humanity into it's darkness hours, and most of all, she still need to be alive to have a redemption arc
            I know, so clichee in our times

            As for mordret, it's kind of the same, he too need his redemption arc and to settle scores with both anvil and asterion, so he can't die

            So if none of them can die, it means that mordret won't win the soul sea battle and that she won't manage to kill him

            Plus, there are a lot of other factor at play there, the fact that it will entertain the duality between the brother and sister, the fact that the sister will have gotten one over her brother, which she will use in every argument once they are both back on the same side and that the sovereigns are dead, and the fact that if she was to fail to even do so, she would look like an incompetent clown that has no game
            Whereas if she wins, it will look like she is actually relevant, competent and dangerous for a saint, which let's face it, she isn't, at least for the big shots
