      Yeah, it did. But at the same time it kept on plunging him from one thing to another and I feel like Sunny deserve a rest like when he's just being a humble shop owner.         I agree with you very much.
        But if we see the matter from the point of view of story/fate and taking the character of young Sunny into consideration, then everything that happened (good and bad) is necessary for him and for the world.

          Honestly, I think [Fated] already knows what Sunny would choose to do in the future and it feels like it already know that Sunny will cut himself off from fate to get rid of his bond from Nephis and thus, it already made some preparations for it. I mean he is [Fated] and if that attribute does not want Sunny to become fateless it wouldn't even give Sunny the chance the chance to reach the end of the estuary.

          Not sure about Serpent from what it seems to me he doesn't think anything about what happening around him much. Sometimes he is curious, but I think he just a bit distant and indifferent to anything that doesn't involves orders.

            You forget that aside from saint Serpent has always been at Sunny's side and is trusted by Sunny a lot. The only reason that it seems like Serpent is indifferent is because he doesn't get focused on a lot because, first Sunny made serpent protect Rain for years and now there's a lot of things going on that not everyone is getting the spotlight.
