    I more or less agree with the Drunken Master style of duel with Jackie Chan, but I remembered why this author annoys me. Now a 26-year-old virgin who is capable of complex machinations with people, but incredibly stupid when it comes to gender relations. It's comical if these are inept teenagers, but not people who should have already potentially sent a child to school. The infantilism of the heroes looks ugly against the backdrop of the entire narrative. And it bores me to read in every chapter how beautiful Sunny is, the color of his pale skin and his dark eyes. I just want to shout in the author’s ear, “We have a good memory. And keep your hands on the keyboard.”

      To be fair, you have to recall that these young adults have spent their whole adult lives in battle. With the exception of Effie, they’ve not really had time to have relationships - let alone relations. Plus, Nephis and Sunny are both particularly inept when it comes to social situations.
      That said, I agree with you about the continuous mentions of Sunny’s looks. We get it … he’s a porcelain doll. Enough already.

          I mean I agree in principle with this, but I do think their ineptness makes sense with the backdrop of the legacy clans and the war, especially considering the new nature of their relationship. i.e. For sunny at least not being a slave.
          The infantile actions make sense in the backdrop where they didn't want to complicate things due to a relationship before this and were still developing.

          Also Author-san did get Effie to have a child due to the 'passion' of youth and war. (Even though that felt a bit like an excuse as it was barely mentioned)

          Again agree that these interactions have turned into a pain to read and we could move on but I do think it makes sense from their perspective. Defo just filling word count though.

            this is just an attempt to justify the weakness of the novel and the author. In life, this (sex, passion and feelings) just happens to people. It is not a conscious choice, hormones decide a lot for us. A beautiful person does not even have to do anything - he can just walk in a crowded place. They will pay attention to him and try to get to know him. The author says that the Awakened are all beautiful, but there are still fewer of them than millions of ordinary people.
