    I know Cassie counters the Sybil's aspect ability, but still I don't understand why the Sybil couldn't have simply used her rank advantage over her. The Sybil was a rank higher, and even a tyrant, and Cassie is simply an ascended beast. The strength and speed gap should be simply overwhelming. Surely, she should be able to move with such speed and strength that should theoretically overwhelm any advantage of Cassie being able to perceive the future for a few seconds.
    After all, Sunny confirmed it that before overwhelming strength, Cassie ability to see the future would be null.

      I mean, the monster is still a seer, I guess the physical prowess isn't as overwhelming as it should've been, like the difference between sunny and the oger when they fought in Antarctica

    I still don't necessarily understand this fight on a second read. Let's say there is 99/100 futures where Cassie dies, and so Cassie has to find the thread that allows her to destroy one future at a time. That takes time. Seconds, but still time. Would the Corrupted Tyrant, understanding that it is slowly losing in the battle of minds, not use its physical advantage to seize one of the futures that it wins? Cassie has to stall for time in order to find a path, but the abomination starts the battle with all the advantages, so I don't understand why it didn't attack immediately and use that advantage.

      Because Cassie will see that it will attack immediately. She didn't need to stall for time as she sees the right way to move almost instantaneously.
      The corrupted manipulated the probabilities in the future so that the future Cassie sees changes and it's the same thing all over again.
      If she gives up on probability manipulation it's immediate loss because Cassie can now see the path to victory

      My understanding is it's a weird game of attack and defense of hypothetical scenarios, where the attacker is at a disadvantage. If you can see the attack coming, the counter is almost always deadly. The Sybil is not in a hurry - manipulating probability so her army wins means that statistically, something is going to kill Sunny/Nephis sooner or later. The House always wins. So Cassie has to find the one attack route that the Sybil simply cannot refute or counter against before that happens.

      But I might be wrong, idk. It's a fantasy story with tentacle monsters and drowned zombies.

      Yeah... it's a little confusing but imagine that the first mover is always at a disadvantage. And so Iong as even a single path to victory exists, the first move can always be countered. So the goal is to take the first move only after ensuring all future possibilities only lead to one outcome before acting. The Defiled Sybil didn't have complete control over all future possibilities at the start of the fight hence the first move wouldn't have ensured a kill. Cassie also only attacked when she locked in all possible futures in her favor.

      And I don't believe that Cassie could be one-shot by a corrupted tyrant if at least one possibility of escape exists.

        No, it doesn't reverse your aspect abilities, it reverses your flaw. So maybe cassie can see again using the mask, but the spell probably isn't so forgiving sigh
