      What do you mean? She was a dead weight early on — Sunny was barely surviving and only saved her at first because she was with Nephis, and he needed Nephis to survive. But he changed. He began to trust others, to care for people beyond himself — something unthinkable for him before. He even risked his life, the one thing he valued most at the time. And after all that, she still chose to let him die instead of Nephis. That’s a harsh betrayal. I get that Nephis was her hero — maybe even more than that. It’s understandable, sure, but it doesn’t make what she did any less messed up, especially to someone who had finally started to believe in others.

        A satisfying answer. I agree with you and it's not that I hate her to death, for me I still can't seem to forgive her and its irritating to see sunny forgetting what she did. Upto this chap I think her betrayal is still at the top. She took Sunny's biggest wish which was freedom. And biggest reason everyone hates her is because she has yet to apologize a single time to sunny. If she had just said the word "sorry" one single time I think most people would stop hating her

        Yet that wasn't the point, it's that first impressions last longer than they ought to. When it came down to it, Sunny understood why Cassie would make the decision she did given what she imagined were her only options. It doesn't make the betrayal any lighter, only more human.

        But Cassie haters only allow the MC to be human, not anyone else apparently
