Maybe the seal of the eternal void is loosening and unknown creatures are going to come back they needed gods to stop them so Weaver wants to create gods to stop them. And the final fate she saw is failure that is why she might be looking for creatures that will break the fate. And why would Weaver be scared of seeing his own dad? Is he a abusive drunkard with a broken glass bottle in his hand?

Wasn't Ananke contradicting herself? Before, she had said that the purpose of the Nightmare Spell was to give living beings a chance to save themselves from the annihilation of the Doom War. But then again, she was a priestess, and religious beliefs were rarely bound by reason.

Maybe its not contradiction maybe spell was created to protect the humans from something that is present in the void, maybe the annihilation of the doom war is not the destruction caused by it but something else, the gods are dead, the daemons are dead too, so no one to stop the corruption and beings of the void, I strongly believe it is either the unknown or the Unknown or the corruption...

'What? What does the eternal void have to do with the Nightmare Spell? That's the first time I'm hearing about this.'

If the void Corrupts things, and if Corrputed things are Nightmare Creatures, would that mean that the Nightmare Spell was also created to contain the Void or uses/contains a part of it?

For example, the Nightmare Spell keeps the Void under control by sealing it in an artificial world (Dreamrealm) so that the Void with its corruption cannot casually travel to other worlds/realms - or at least slows it down.
The Nightmare Spell does that by dosing the amount of Corruted Creatures/Nightmare Creatures that come to another realm while simultaneously giving them information about the Void and the past realms, preparing a new World/Realm to fight - and win from - the Void (and maybe create new gods).

I'm thinking that maybe Mordret divine aspect is connected to the Unknown. It doesn't sound plausible until it's mentioned how the Unknown was reflected in Weavers pupils. Seems similar to Mordret.

I like that theory too. If you add the theory that the members of the group turn into some of these greater creatures, or are their inheritors/reincarnations, I can see it coming more plausible. Mordret, being the inheritor or the Unknown, corrupts people and creatures souls alike. In a desperate battle, Sunny, and possibly the rest of the cohort, destroy all of Mordret/Unknown's bodies, leaving it to no choice but have to take over someone else's body. Whether by choice or circumstances, he chooses Sunny (who, for the sake of this theory, has become Weaver). They either battle for control over his body and soul for God knows how long, or Mordret (being Unknown or the reincarnation of it) is trapped inside Sunny, hence the reflection of the Unknown if Weaver's eye. Then, in another harrowing battle, a creature plucks Sunny's (Weaver's) eye out. In his ever pleasant mood, he curses the bird out loud "You Vile Thieving Bird!", and the spell so graciously names he that. From there, I think Mordret/Unknown were released and were able to resume their goal of corruption.

Well, the spider is clearly a ‘weaver,’ so I wonder if he will see Weavers death after losing an arm.

Is the spider the depiction of weaver, with the missing limb being his corrupted arm, personified by sunny connecting all of his insight regarding him?

What if the Gate/Door was in fact, 'Truth'? Even Sunny always ends up learning FAR more than he actually wishes for, bringing out severe consequences.
What about the Waver then? What if their 'journey to the void' was just Waver facing Truth (willing or not)... be it about the Gods/Daemons, the Unknown, or something more?

Maybe Corruption=Truth? I mean, the evil bird that stole Weaver's eye went mad and became a Nightmare afterward.
