    Is that similar to the whole true name deal with the spell. Fate is a thing as well as any other. In fact, maybe it grants True Names to those who prove themselves able to mess with fate in hopes of them exerting more influence on it later, since we belive that the evaluations increase as one changes fate. Why would Weaver want to break fate, though? The granting of true names does seem tied to ability to break fate.

    Perhaps Weaver saw a future fate of destruction and that is why they want their domain broken.

    Honestly, fate seems like it would grab most tightly to a true name. Readers quickly forget unnamed characters. Perhaps it is most similar to a conceptual body of somebody. Without a corporeal body, you can’t stab nor be stabbed. Without a true name, you cannot act on fate or be acted on by fate.
