      i believe the difference is that sunny converts his physical form into shadows while mordret leaves his body and keeps it in a memory or an aspect ability, so he has no physical form and if there was only one reflection in range of his ability and he had no body to take over he would be stuck there

        no its because its his dormant ability. you get your dormant ability as a sleeper and sleepers cant use essence yet. wich means that you can use your dormant ability at all times. just like sunny can use his shadows all the time or kai can fly
