      But you're comparing her situation by associating Sunny's with Winter Beast. But exactly as you said for Nephis, Sunny also always had a path forward for him. That's how he slips away everytime and that's how he survived Winter Beast. Sunny always had a path.

        That is not a path forward. That is retreat. Defeat. Being able to slip away and losing half your regiment and an entire city ist not same as leading worriors to essentially a victory.

        Sunny just lost and had to slip away like a rat.

        Nephis won while people died. Big difference. That is why I said she does not know true loss. Her losses always came with a victory.

          Losses can't come with victory as the situation isn't absolute. There's always a mid-ground concession in case of rare happenstances. As for the whole debacle with Winter Beast, I still think Sunny had a path forward. It doesn't matter wether he had to retreat a few steps to take a big leap, or just charge through, he had a path forward. And he'll have many more, continually. The scenario with Winter Beast wasn't an isolated event. It was just one of many pits Sunny had to cross. Even if Sunny had outright killed the beast then, he'd move forward. And even when we couldn't kill the beast, he still moved forward. The end justified the means and cements my opinion. As for the path, it will always exists. [Fated] provides the most ingenious excuse to help him move forward. So much so that sometimes it seems his unyielding personality and dauntless will falls secondary to the attribute's machinations.

                  Fated doesn't work ike that. It only increases the chances several times of unlikely things happening. Such as bringing a storm out of nowhere. Now it depends on sunny if he can survive. Fated isn't a fixed destiny that Sunny has to follow.
