    I still don't understand why would their fight harm normal people? They will be fighting outside of the cities and they will clear more and more nightmare creatures in their pursuit. Where does harming normal people come in this equation?

      -Saints are able to destroy parts of mountain chains so a fight between them can have major impacts on mundane pop even if they are far
      -If a gate leading to the tomb of Ariel appears in the middle of a city they won't care about people living in the city and will fight among the population
      -Their main purpose is not to save people but fight between them so they are at least indirectly responsible of the death of normal people by abandonning the Earth

      I mean this is the whole point of why Sunny wants the Sovereigns and their legacy clans to suffer

      If one of the Gates that has opened near a Seige Capital turns out to lead them inside the Dream Realm close to a Citadel or a safe area to camp, then all hell will be let loose to not let the enemy send their Awakened through that Gate by answering the Call.

    Even if light is omnidirectional there will always be shadows beneath people's shoe soles, their clothes and under objects which touch the floor directly so it doesn't really make sense

    And what happened with his tyrant core what new powers did he gain nothing about that?

      ummm my fellow reader the key word here is "within".

      I think they are purposefully leaving out the shadows outside of/under the bubble since its non- relevant/can not bring any effect to the current situation.

      Please note that i have not read Shadow Slave. Just trying to give you an outside perspective if you will.

        Oh the thing is the reason they gave for shadow to not exist was just the presence of omnidirectional light which in any case can't really completely remove shadows as long as there are physical objects that are opaque

          So I guess the author would have to specifically include a line somewhere saying that there is not anything that is opaque nearby.

          Or state that thats not how shadows work in his fictional world. Which could be totally something I could see a author doing. sigh

          Omnidirectional means every possible direction at the same time in this case, such as going from outside inward and inward to out simultaneously, thereby removing an chance for shadows to exist in that area.

      He’s purposely keeping his distance to avoid being detected, being in direct contact with their body is extremely risky. Plus the size of a shadow matters, his shadows can’t hide in a shadow if it’s too small, the shadow cast by a human foot isn’t big enough.

        Well yes keeping distance is important but I guess he can always leave his shadows with Nephis to spy on Valors and also what will his shadows do when he finds himself in a similar environment? Just show that his shadows are special? I think only shadow step requires shadows to be of enough size so that he could fit in them.
