    The people finds it difficult to understand the power level. Tyrant has to do with the number of cores, not the ranking, so a sleeping Tyrant will be weaker than an awakened Tyrant and so on, and the increase in strength is gradual. Just like Sunny, as an Ascended, easily defeats several awakened creatures...

          Sunny was also oneshotted by fallen titan while wearing a transcended rank armor. He was killed by sheer mass of the leg, fallen abomination or not.
          He has also barely killed a fallen devil after months of studying his vulnerabilities while fighting with the best sleeper cohort on his side (Cassie, Nephis, Caster, Kai, Effie and awakened monster Stone Saint) while now having only one non-divine ascended as an ally agains fallen tyrant. It's not as ridiculous as you make it out to be.
          There are also strong and weak sides of every nightmare creature. For example, the sole reason why Jet was boding so well as ascended against about a dozen corrupted beetles is because their specialty is armor while being huge and sluggish. Jet capitalized on both those traits, ignoring their armor and invigorating herself with each attack, which were easy to land. She would have serious trouble fighting against a smart and swift nightmare creature of the same rank with ranged attacks.

          All in all, there is far more to it than rank that defines the overall power of a creature / person.

            Why are you talking about weaker version of sunny like its relevant here? Sunny could kill corrupted devils atp without much difficulty, even saint as an ascended was able to hold off multiple corrupted demons and a devil on her own and saint at the same rank is much weaker than sunny. Titans are on a completely different level so idk why you are even bringing that up

              I was talking about weaker version of Sunny to make a point about current power ratio between awakened and creature somewhat resembling the ratio of power during the cathedral fight with the fallen devil (behavior study included). It's not that dire, but to be wary in this situation is still not ridiculous.
              Also, Sunny only managed to kill Fallen abominations when buffed with Neph's crown and that blood charm. You make it sound like the author intentionally nerfed him while forgetting about power scaling, but the truth is the power in Shadow Slave is very open to interpretation. Far too many factors like specialization, vulnerabilities, skillset and body mass to say definitly which victories are ridiculous and which are possible. You have to divide the combatants by at least 3 ranks or 2 ranks and 2 classes to be absolutely sure of anything.
