    That underworld armor... need to defeat the opponents, instead of killing right? That is why it was hard to level up the count numbers, that is why he enter Dreamscape to Kill/defeat the opponents..because no one literally died after being killed in a dual challenge. That is why it didn't increase the count or level up fast, Even if mc killed 1000s of nightmare creatures.... except for in Dreams when his nightmare horse make him suffer and in slave Gladiator arena. So, why is killing nightmare creatures can increase his level up now!?

        The third reason was rather unexpected. In fact, Sunny had stumbled upon it by pure accident.

        Back when he had just arrived on the Chained Isles, he secretly tested the Mantle of the Underworld in battles against several Nightmare Creatures. The onyx armor had turned out to be even more remarkable than he had anticipated, so he easily hunted down several abominations. And yet, one creature had managed to escape from him after being thoroughly defeated, mostly because of the approaching Crushing.

        That was when he discovered how the [Prince of the Underworld] enchantment really worked. Its description said that the onyx armor grew stronger according to the number of opponents its wielder defeated… and it did exactly that. The enchantment didn't care whether the opponent lived or died, all that mattered to it was that the enemy lost.

        After the Nightmare Creature Sunny had beaten escaped, the counter of the enchantment still changed from [1215/6000] to [1216/6000].

        He tested it in a battle with another abomination, bringing it to the door of death and then walking away without delivering the last blow. The counter went to [1217/6000].

        So, Sunny hoped to kill two birds with one stone in the Dreamscape — to both elevate his technique and satiate the requirements of the [Prince of the Underworld] with a constant stream of victories

        Mc hunted down several Nightmare Creatures.... several means more than 2+. So, why his count only increase 2 since the time he possess the armor [1213/6000]? When you killed someone, you defeat them?

        Why not say this armor grows stronger according to the amount of opponents its wielder kills, instead of defeats? Why make confusing restriction for it's growth then?

          Because if its only kills, then it would be restrictive, and he wouldn't get any added to his counter in the dreamscape. Also, if I'm understanding correctly, it's probably because he wasn't wearing it during those hunts cause he was trying to separate mongrel from sunny, so he didn't want to get caught accidently wearing that armor ig

          And u asked why not say that it gets stronger when the wearer kills, we’ll that’s because that simply defeating them won’t count so all those dreamscape victories also wouldn’t count, it doesn’t matter if the enemy lives or dies as long as they lose

      He went to the dreamscape because defeating people there were easier and faster but killing humans or nightmares creatures still counts idk how you came up with that idea u had, and the reason it took a long time even though sunny was killing so many nightmare creatures is because sunny barley wore that armor, he only used it when he was disguised as Mongrel

It was clearly stated many times that sunny wasn’t using his mantle for hunts where he defeated lots of enemies due to wanting a separate identity from mongrel at the time.       i dont think fated or luck, good or bad, has anything to do with mc's accomplishments... imo it will always depends on the perosn own's actions.. opportunities which may seem like what luck has brought can also be interpreted as a result of ur actions...

      thats what fated does. unlikely things are more likely to happen. all the bad luck sunny has for example, stumbling upon that swarm, the beetles a literal titan and the imp escape in one day will also have some good factor counter it. that good factor either already came but we didn´t notice it or will arrive in the far future, maybe not even this arc. the thing is, sunnys pov is very pessimistic. he downplays his power and achievement or makes it seem ordinary what happens to him but it is not. i can confidently tell you that people are not supposed to receive memories as often as sunny does for example.

        When you mention all these things of course that’s “lucky” within context. But another way to look at it is he had to go through all the shit he’s gone through to get where he is when nobody else has….bros gone through the most shit at his age and even became a literal slave to get even this much power which to be fair his potential is reallly high, but he definitely still has shit luck because without his ingenuity he would have died many times it’s not pure luck he’s alive it’s that he had the brains to turn his shitty situations into amazing opportunities because most people in his position definitely couldn’t survive even given the same tools.
