            Yes, every creature he kills exists as a shadow in his soul space.
            Based on what was shown with turning an Echo into Shadow and how they hurt Mordret I would theorize that Sunny claims the soul or part of the soul of the enemies he kills.
            Besides this there were no reveals yet. But I guess it will be revealed somewhen later what they exactly are and how to use them properly
