      Yet Nephis was able to kill terrors because of luck, one in her awakening and d other at d end of the crimson spire arc.
      Not to mention, the shadow lantern, a DIVINE rank memory could only restrain her for a second, after she magically jumped ranks to conquer her third nightmare, and that too without having learn how to control her essence.

      HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?!
      The bias is too much to d point of disgusting.
      Sunny has killed tens of thousands of nightmare creature and hasnt even received five echoes.
      Yet Cassy, an oracle who could barely fight in d first arc, received 2-3 echoes. Like seriously?!

        sunny did not use the lantern. he made a cage of his own essence. cassie only got one echo the other two got gifted to her from the cohort. but yes, nephis glaze is just insane. she was able to kill a fallen terror on her own as a sleeper. even if it was evolving thats just extremely exaggerated

          If I still remember correctly...
          Sunny summoned shadows from the lantern to restrict her...which only worked for a second or so.
          And Cassie had two echoes aside from the one nephis gifted her, and that too before she awakened her future sight ability that enables her to fight.

            and what does the shadow lanter do? it contains shadows and can release them. thats the only thing it does there is no augmentation to them or anything. sunny turned those shadows tangible using his own essence meaning that the restriction he made came form sunny and not from the lantern. the lantern is pure utillity nothing else. i could be wrong about the echoes cuz i thought she only got the quiet dancer by herself though.

    Bro really can't catch a break, almost died several times, actually died once, was caught in a hail of abominations in the sky, was basically swallowed by a living tunnel attacked by sea abominations on several occasions and now the goal he had been working towards was destroyed

    I, personally, enjoy how much Sunny is suffering, makes for a very despairful story. At the start of this arc he says the Antarctic Campaign will be a marathon, not a sprint, marathons have very little breaks and many obstacles, like the eternal blizzard that doesnt let him see, LO49 (my beloved), getting kicked in the face by a mountain, the silly imp almost killing him, those beetles, and now this! This is my one of my favorite arcs BECASE of how much sunny suffers (and all the character development)! no easy break for our little ol' devil for a while and that makes the breaks and rewards he does get that much more impactful.
