      Nephis previously mentioned that people who turn into monsters after failing the first nightmare are opening a category 1 gate and letting 1 creature through. The chain of nightmares is spawning a bunch of gates, and for some reason this includes cat 1 gates (1st nightmares) in people of all ages but only in Antarctica rn

      When people get infected by the spell, it's a category 1 gate manifesting inside them, c1 gates don't manifest in reality, they manifest in mundane humans, if the human fails their first nm then the gate opens and one nightmare creature is led through, now in Antarctica, gates are behaving unnaturally and manifesting everywhere much more frequently than usual, they're no longer following their usual pattern so c1 gates are manifesting in people of different ages asw
