      it's a sad ending really.. Verne is a respectable guy but i feel mc should be more hard on this and force everyone to leave.. and maybe make a temporary camp outside, like in the rhino's location.. no need to go anywhere

      Nahhh sunny has simply gone through so much character development that though he is still selfish he now thinks about the life of people around him and tries to help if he possibly can. This was what separated him from nephis before, due to the fact she wasn't always fighting for herself but for something bigger than herself she always had more push, more "conviction" and now sunny is gradually acquiring that....,and it isn't in any nonsensical way but simply as a result of the person he truly is underneath that small frame that is now blossoming in tribulations. Like Gold getting refined in fire.

    Moments like these are what make this novel so good. That sense of dread is just on point.
