      Even as a master, Sunny still has to have an anchor to go to the dream realm, just like any awakened. So he’s not immune to the effects that Gates have on awakened people. As long as he’s in need of an anchor, he will unwillingly change anchors as soon as he’s close to a gate. That is what I think at least.

        pretty much like you said. if a master sleeps (awakened as well) near an active gate they will get pulled into the location of that seed in the dream realm. his anchor will be changed then and he has to find a new gateway otherwise hes stuck. the place these nightmare creatures come from is
        btw. if he gets pulled by a category three gate he would very likely spawn near it and be forced to challenge it if he finds no gateway

      The other guy explained well. One thing I'd like to add for the others, since you might have already finished this arc, is that Sunny is a Master, and hence it's his choice where he wants to go to the Dream Realm while asleep. If he goes to the Dream Realm, then he goes with his body, as he's a Master. Which means anything can happen meanwhile in his absence. And if he chooses not to go to the Dream Realm while asleep, then it's just a matter of unavailability and quick response if anything happened while he was immobile.
      Again, whatever mentioned above are secondary reasons. The main reason is the Call of the Seeds.
