        the gods couldn't kill the daemons without their full power but they are definitely way more powerful

      Im guessing the difference between Sacred (daemons were stated to be born Sacred) and Divine. A Sacred being is bound to be obnoxiously hard to kill, but not enough to stand your ground against a literal Divine being
