    Why is he so civil with her? They're acting like they've had some mild disagreement over some inconsequential thing. She tried to kill him. Actually, it's worse than that; she tried to erase him as a person and turn him into a mindless slave. If I was sunny I would have to restrain myself from violently killing such a person every time I'm around them. I definitely wouldn't ask them how they've been or make small talk. The author said that Sunny was a hardened street rat, but all I see is a clingy pushover.
