    I like the way these developments are happening... Although some may consider Sunny reckless and the thing is... he IS reckless. At this point in the story, Sunny has no friends and no absolute motive, its the perfect character to be reckless. Calculating is good, but this is more fun nowadays.

      The reason calculating is good is because when a character is reckless, not accounting for all sorts of hidden dangers, their survival seems much more forced and controlled entirely by the author. This is the case especially in this novel where the unknown is the biggest dangers A calculating character has calculated what is going to happen so when it happens and they surpass it, it seems like it was truly the character that planned it. There are no unforeseen events the mc manages to overcome out of luck, just the mc’s intelligence and careful planning. This isn’t to hate on Sunny. I like this progression of events. It’s just my perspective.

        You do realize that if a character calculates everything then the entire story would be:
        1. Twist happens.
        2. “Hehe, I saw this coming.”
        3. Resolves issue in 3 seconds.
        4. Repeat.

        In a story like this where characters know so little, you either calculate almost nothing or everything.
        And if someone could calculate everything, nothing is fun anymore.

          Never said a character should calculate everything. What I said is that when a character calculates things, their wins seem more earned than when they recklessly rush forward. In both cases, the main character should still suffer some losses.

            if you read the novel to this point you should know calculating is absolutely pointless.because of fated nothing will ever go the way sunny wants. im pretty sure you remember what happened with carapace demon.
