    Uhm, Awakened Rock said that Gates can be found near the place where a landmark is. So if the City have no prominent landmarks other than the Castle, then the Church should be the closest thing we can call a landmark for a city or place. I think my theory can be supported since there are some examples in our world.

      Cassie had said that there's a Cimson Spire which is as tall as mountain, something like that might be a landmark.

        I actually forgot about it since the mc didn't even talk about it in the previous chapters, so I thought the crimson spire was not near the city. I only remembered just after the author flashbacks their journey when they exactly reached the city.

          The crimson spire can be SEEN from the city, but that doesn’t mean it’s near it, like saying you can see a mountain from a couple of hundred kms away if it’s big enough
