    The problem with this novel is that the author only portrays how the girls are a burden to MC. This is why so many people (me as well) want MC to get rid of them. Personally my thoughts were: he better bid them farewell after they exit the dream realm. But obviously they will stay together till the end cuz both are female leads…
    Nevertheless the author could’ve shown how useful the girls were to make his audience more sympathetic.

      How are they not useful is what I’m confused abt. Sunny would be stranded and have to live off nightmare creatures for the rest of his life without Cassie. Without Nephis he would never grow in combat and could have died way more easily to nightmare creatures.

      My complaint is these people are moving faster than he can see, but other times after a dodge he has entire SECONDS of time to do stuff. I've played counterstrike, even ordinary humans close combat happens 10's of milliseconds or less.
