    Chapter 1 begins with an explanation regarding the social system as well as major differences between our society and the world its set in. From his chapter we can easily understand mc named sunless has no alive family that he is in contact with and that he grew up relatively poor. We also find out about the baseline of the "Nightmare spell" currently little precise information is giving other than the recipients risk death and have an opportunity to gain powers. This could be part of a growth towards divinity???
