By the time I realized it, I had reincarnated into another world.

I kept sleeping, and at some point I became a Demon Lord.

Even though I never wished for it.

But for me to not have to work, this world is the best. It must be true that good things happen to good people.

The flavor of Sloth is as sweet as honey. Glory, diligence, virtue, or honor. I have no interest in anything like that.

What’s there to hide? The Lazy king is… none other than me. Collapse

    Pros:
Interesting writing concept, in that whole arcs are written from a single character's perspective that hardly recurs more than once. Very engaging whilst it was going on, even if the translation's proof reading was really shoddy.

    Cons:
The real sticking point was how unforgivably terrible that ending was. Like I'm f#cking incensed by how awful it was. Nothing was resolved or explained - the author spent so much time introducing and working up so many interesting characters, only for the story to abruptly end, and they never get mentioned again.

For me, the greatest sin you could commit is leaving such a terrible ending, because it feels like the many hours/days I spent reading this meant or amounted to nothing.

Ultimately that unique writing style ends up shooting itself in the foot, because you can't spare the chapters to write a decent epilogue, or even wrap up a single damn plot thread or storyline.

It's been dropped it seems, with only 2 volumes. Still.

It's quite nice, all in all.
We're delving into 7 sins, but from a perspective of reverence, treating them as fuel, life's pursuit and a topic to ruminate over, which is a curious change from seeing them presented as purely detrimental. Quite understandably tho, the world is quite grim as a result. Well, it's literally hell, so it should be clear.

We can't entirely avoid the japanese-style pitfalls of light novels, but the story flows rather fine and keeps you guessing, so it's fine.

The chapters are packed, so it's better you see it as sth over 100 normal chapters, but it's short, so as a change of pace, it fits well.

I'm afraid it's not. But you shouldn't worry. The novel is quite stoic, so the feeling of abrupt end without conclusion isn't all that noticeable.

Well it has only a few chapters but that is because its a light novel are made to be a book so each volume is a book k

10/10 short but sweet. A story of a sloth demon getting stronger in result of doing nothing and the world around Him. There are part where it can make you laugh at the comedy make you exited because of the fight and make you sad at the unfortunate nihilistic realities liege gets in result of his sad, boring and depraved life. I kinda wish it was longer so that I could see more of liege's depraved time across eternity

For the record this short ass novel has been in my top 3 for years and it still is. And if you read alot of novels like me that shit is always changing.

The story is entirely told from the perspective of the side characters. The MC exists, but he plays an entirely different role than what you would commonly expect. The focal point is the existence of MC, rather he being who he is effecting the world and the side characters in it.

I can't explain it well, but one of the comments below from @Aaaaaaaaron summed it up in the best way possible.

It was about the Lazy King and the world that revolve around him without him being there. 10/10

10/10 is right, go read it. Its only 16 chapters, and you'll definitely enjoy it.
