    The way that i see it, utilizing mana and inner energy outside of skills requires a great deal of practice so maybe they might have thought about it once, but realized the difficulty of it and given up. Please note that Jake is MC for a reason.

    Over-reliance on the System sure produces some powerful idiots. The other people that don't uses magic aside, it's hard to imagine how mages don't bother to try to understand where their supernatural power comes from or at least how it works from the ground up.
