    Contrary to what most people thought, I knew that Will won't stand a chance against Jake due to several reasons (the fact that Jake wasn't in much of a disadvantage the first time they met even though Will was several levels ahead, now that Jake has caught up, the only way he would struggle is if WIll has a lot of plot armors,, also he definitely didn't do better than Jake in clearing the Den Mother)... But the fact he was saved again by the plot means he's going to be one of those characters the author would use to rival the mc...
    Personally, I prefer an enemy who is much, much stronger than the mc, and the mc trying to catch up to the person than the other way around

    Okay maybe the whole climactic battle thing won't happen right now, but I'm still expecting it at some point. Anyway this whole situation leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I had predicted for there to be a race against time for Jake to beat the King of the Beasts while Will catches up for the readers anticipation, and then Jake would win after a hard battle, getting the final strength boost needed to have a climactic battle with Will. But I definitely did not expect the premature meeting and Will getting roflstomped. I kinda like the subversion of expectation and kinda don't. Knowing that Will is going to show up again takes away from the impact of building up how powerful he is from when he was first introduced and their battle seeming imminent with Jake gaining the things he needs to kill him, then Will just getting decimated by Jake before the expected final battle.

    Probably my favorite moment of this novel so far, love the interactions between these two and one of the only reasons I'm still reading

      How is the story dumb? We were told from the beginning that the mc is full of flaws, we were shown how fast people switch on each other, we were shown how greed can change people, and we were shown to never judge a book by its cover. The mc got a bit of character growth but yes he is indeed full of flaws, but the thing is that no one is truly perfect.

    Wow I’ve never read a chapter in a story that I like that has caused me to want to drop the story. First of all, poor Patrick. This has me hating the MC to death and even if there’s “character development” and he “changes”, I just don’t think I can ever forgive him. From now on whenever I read this novel I’ll just have an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. You’re also going to tell me that William will be revived and be that annoying cockroach who goes against the MC that will not die for majority of the story because he’s the “main villain”? I seriously hate this and would much prefer there just be multiple villains.

    If this is really a tutorial like the system says and it revives everyone then I hope that he doesn't go back to simping for caroline that bitch showed her true colors idc how much stress she say she was under while crying.

    Williams needs to be shredded with his own saw blade, only dull and going at the slowest speed for maximum pain.

      IIRC it’s a “tutorial” in that it’s outside of the regular world and introduces concepts in a “fair” manner - I.e first monsters you fight are lvl 1, then you move on to lvl2, etc. there’s no randomly meeting a lvl 15 when you’re lvl 5 and getting killed
