    The way things are going, instead of future, it feels like kevin is seeing the past and slowly getting his memories back. Ren from that past is obsessed with killing demon King.
    Considering Ren seems to have killed Emma, I'm like 8/10 sure that Kevin, using his system to save Emma, went back in time. All that talk about the akashic records is probably connected to the system since it seems to be the only thing capable of turning back time and doing all the crazy stuff his system does.
    As for the obsessed Ren, he probably found a way to go back in time with Kevin too. Unlike Kevin, though, his method seems to have some flaws. That's why Kevin is just slowly getting his memories back, and the two versions of him will eventually merge seamlessly into one. For Ren, it's more like he has an alter ego. The Ren from the past has to slowly influence the current Ren through different means and gradually turn him into himself.
    Ren is probably the time remnant. Maybe there's another timeline where the old Ren wasn't like that, and Kevin did something to him. That's why Ren(the shadow clutching Kevin's neck in his dream) says that he is the sin Kevin created, the consequence of his actions, and something he can never get rid of.
    And the Ren in this chapter is also saying something like that.

      Normally in these situations, where something like this happens, past versions of characters are usually disappointed in their future selves and, in some cases, even hate them. especially true when future version becomes obsessed with something and in the process, whether intentionally or not loses everything that their past self once cherished.
      So these 2 rens are probably going to be at odds with each other. Kind of like the Mad Prince and Sunny from Shadow Slave.

    I may have not noticed it back then, but now that I look back at myself, right after meeting the previous Ren, I started to get this weird idea that everything around me was a chess piece and that everything was under my control.

    Finally this has been addressed. Almost thought that the Author changed MC's personality because he didn't like him.

    Also there is a chance that the old world didn't actually exist and that the current one is the real world, this means that Nola is actually the MC's real sister and his parents are his actual ones. So sweet.
