It's a constant pile-up of pressure and tension that the MC has tires the plot out.

The author seems to want to give the MC minimal or none plot armor. But instead of making the reader excited to see the MC create more chaos to deal with the demon using his big brain move scheme without plot armor, it leaves us annoyed and tired.

Strong enemies keep piling up, one on top of another, whenever the MC tries to make a big brain move. This makes us feel like the infiltration is useless and in vain. The scheme that was supposed to be satisfying becomes just another shopping arc with Emma, Amanda, and Kevin – bland and unsatisfying.

Thats kinda a bit of bullshit noh if everblood is the one who specifically goes to Kevin room and specifically picked the red book when it cannot be seen by the others aside from Kevin. Hopefully its another mystery character that yet to appear, if its really everblood thats BULLSHIT

I think asking for the tour was a risky thing, he doesn't have all the exact knowledge the original researcher has, so he doesn't know what he shouldn't inquire about, and since even a guard knows the security of the artifact place its very unlikely they will forget to tell one of their major researchers about it, him thinking the dude might have ignored or not received that info is a major conjecture based on nothing, i wouldn't bet my life on something like that, even more, when he doesn't know if there are other secret security measures

"I plan to end this war."

Yup, its aboutta time for the major arc to start its climax!!
    - It would have been really nice if Silug appeared to fight together with Ren for the war(I forgot his name but Its the orc whose Angelica has contracted with)

I think everblood is out of the equation or he may be a bigger character from the start but I do think that it's related to the guy who isekai'd ren...if the author has any plans about that though most of the authors skip it

Between Ren and Kevin it easy to figure out because they have basis strong foundation.

Kevin maybe stuck in loop of constant fighting with Demon King using system that maybe created by past enemies of Demon King. Then last-ditch effort to break the loop Kevin transfer the idea of the plot to Ren and he reincarnated knowing all the plot.

But Everblood? The f**k? What basis that he had? He is just baron that has many plot armor, just for adding the tension.

Is he Demon King? Absolutely not. When the clone died, I clearly felt he is just spoiled raging child like many mob demon. Making him feels like young master in cultivation novel.

It's just that recently author pushed Everblood to becoming more and more like knock off Joker. With just one small, tiny setback that somehow change him to be same standing as Kevin, MC, and Demon King. Ridiculous.
