The human Race is at war with the Vicious Dalki and when they needed help more than ever, THEY started to come forward. Humans who had hidden in the shadows for hundreds of years, people with abilities.

Some chose to share their knowledge to the rest of the world in hopes of winning the war, while others kept their abilities to themselves. Quinn had lost everything to the war, his home, his family and the only thing he had inherited was a crummy old book that he couldn’t even open.

But when the book had finally opened, Quinn was granted a system and his whole life was turned around. He completed quest after quest and became more powerful, until one day the system gave him a quest he wasn’t sure he could complete. Collapse

Put aside the dumb MC and slow-paced development that others complain about. The 11/10 score that this novel deserves came from its; originality, the thrill of series of events, the fixed connection between twists, unraveling secrets, fighting scenes, stable system management- the stats, skills and level up is stable and have reasonable increases and boosts unlike other system novels that just gives significant power boosts turning MC overly op. Mc is also powerful but not overpowered since many others are stronger than him so he often relies on his friends (he's not a one-man army, brothers. why do you even hate this "relying-on-your-friends" part when their friendship is just too awesome that i'm even envious). finger

Yeah, jks built a seemingly simple world and expanded it into something complex and intricate while connecting it to two other novel.

That's a really good point. The most important part is gripping reader's interest which the story does very well. It's sort of like Harry Potter. There may be plot holes or inconsistent world building sometimes but it's always interesting. Some novels get this wrong they become repetitive after awhile.

It's been so long so I don't remember much. The truth is I have long dropped it after a bit more than a thousand chapter. I still remember the feeling of disappointment tho, realizing why many people call the novel trash. I haven't really reread it and analyze it with a new high-level reading standard that i shouldn't have had almost 3 years ago. But overall before 1000th chapter I really enjoyed it and was so hooked that I search for the update every chance I get, idk about the current me though.

My advice is this book is really good for beginners, you will thoroughly enjoy it if you haven't met any of the true masterpieces. It's also good if you're into System novels. It was a fun read, and I had a great time, but I wasn't able to finish it in the end.

I enjoy this but I may be biased at this point since I am so far in
I love the concept and I find it genuinely entertaining, but it also has a lot of typos and in the first 100 chapters the writing feels a bit clunky, and then all the chapters after 600ish also feel clunky. still has some cool moments in it tho, I just feel like it could be more with some rewrites and beta readers.

throughout the story characters are introduced and cycled through a bit too quickly and reduced to a trope, a good example of this are Nate and Laylas characters

Nate gets reduced from cool fighter guy who wants to get stronger to, "ugly guy that wants to get with every pretty girl," and you can forget about his goal self-improvement, hey everyone laugh at the ugly guy he can't get laid hahaha.

Layla goes from super spy double agent too, the girl that likes the main character but is too shy to approach him. so just a total 180.

other characters get introduced and don't have enough time to develop so when MC relies on them for important things it's like... why tho? why would random guy Z be running things instead of loyal follower Y who's been around from the very beginning?

The most recent issue is with the big bad being one of the 13 vampire leaders is a bit problematic because the Villan ends up being a rape victim turned man-hater, which isn't impossible but it's really hard to execute it with coming across as kinda sexist, and I don't think this pulls it off at all, it was just the wrong choice of villain.

MC has just a tad too much plot armor and not enough actual skill, like idk, make him lose a leg or something.

Idk, I liked it but even I know it has issues, and it seems to be getting worse. probably with still read it tho.
