The Age of Mechs has arrived! Unfortunately, Ves Larkinson lacked the genetic aptitude to become a famed mech pilot. Fighting against his fate, he studied mech design in order to express his love for mechs in a different way and make his father proud.

When Ves graduated from college, he returned to a new but empty boutique. His dad had disappeared. Left with a small, newly founded mech workshop… Collapse

I've read a couple of reviews now and not once did they talk about romance. I'm a huge fan of romantic genres, so how's the romance in this novel ? For now i'll just bookmark it.

Romance for me is forced. So unnecessary, not the perfect relationship. I mean, Gloriana, which is the fmc, is so dominating due to the fact that she's from a female supremacy state.

the world building is great. you can actually really get into it. most large novels end up contradicting and coming up with random stuff after a certain point but this one keeps it at a minimal. it is super slow and personally i just skipped chapters if i felt the upcoming arc was useless. like that war service arc i had no clue what happened but i could keep reading without any problems. i am at chapter 3240 and i have got to say the middle of the novel sucks but if you can get past the slow bits there are a lot of interesting arcs.

I'm on chapter 3091 right now, which is almost the current end. The first thing I want to note is that this world is realistic. There are a lot of details. Sometimes too much. There were periods when it was too long, I put it aside. BUT! I knew it would be interesting next, and I was right! THE SECOND! The story is consistently good, as we wrote below, the quality does not fall, and if the author does not decide to take a shortcut, then this is not even half of the story. At the expense of comparing with xianxia. I do not know who said it, but he could not be more wrong. There is no cultivation here. Yes, there are stages of development here. But according to this logic, all books about magicians and evolution will also become faded. Here evolution is through consciousness or soul, to put it simply. Even now we don't understand what it is. I want to mention that there are a lot of ideas in the book. I started to understand some points in business and politics after reading this. The only question is whether you can spot them. I don't see any point in saying anything else. Everything is already said.

    Finally, just this.

In every chapter where I am now (I don't remember what happened to the previous chapters), 8-20 comments are stable. On average, there are 15 of them. And it's okay if it's just a number, but people write a diploma on the topic "why the main character *******" almost everything, and arrange a debate. As soon as the characters and the author are covered with a good layer of swearing, this bunch of addicts will sit down to wait for the next dose. Draw conclusions.

All I can say is, this novel ain't for everyone.

Having a shit ton of chapters, the MC not being a perfect protagonist, a lot of fillers, slow progression, and other reasons for why this is a turn-off for most people. but we can't ignore the good things about the novel such as the World Building, Characters that feel like humans, Character Progression, Realism, Unique concepts, Good Drama, and other good things that I can't remember.

    About it being Xianxia though?
For me, it does not feel like one but there is definitely some inspiration there. I think it is bad that it is being compared to Xianxia since Chinese novels are really one-dimensional while this one is not. This novel can go under many genres.

MC has twisted morals but that is because he has been f#cked over by the government multiple times. He leaves later on in the story to create his own faction. MC is very paranoid(he thinks everyone will f#ck him over), a hypocrite, has some manipulative tendencies, he loves his culture but not his country. the MC feels 'human' to me since the MC ain't really perfect he has some good sides and a bad side, he is just trying to survive the brutal galaxy he lives in.

Like I said earlier, it is not for everyone but for those that like this kind of story? they will love it.

It is quite difficult to give a decent verdict. I mean... my reviews of this one would differs greatly from the beginning to the 'current' end [C:3110].

Style: The author tries to write subjective matters in an objective style. Not very 'stylish' in general, but also not repulsive either.

Coherence: ... now, that's weird. The whole thing first tagged as: mech, system-holder; to now: a supposed system-holder—but in fact, a selfish dude trying to disguise his kingdom-building process under a supposedly neutral 'corporation', while cosplayed as a mech-designer.

Plot: Not sure if the writer is a self-glorianafied perfectionist, or that he's an unfortunate chinese writer who has to sacrifice quality over quantity by writing daily; but there's very big holes [like: what happened to that cyber-dude during the sand-war?] or [what's the point of creating such an awesomely described water-scroll holder... when she's dying in the very next chapter? Was there any point creating such a short suspense?] In any case, the story sometimes lacks unity, and the plotting is very inconsistent. Sometimes, it makes the reader feels as if it was pointless, due to over-expanding in un-needed details.

Story: While not described in an interesting way, the story-building itself, is praise-worthy. I mean... if one does not hold much expectations by the un-fulfilled faked-promises, then it is rather enjoyable. The creation of some unique characters is rather praise-worthy: Calabast, Gloriana, Cinthia, Wilix... isn't it phony that most of the interesting characters are female? Another interesting fact is that the protagonist is very obviously un-likable... yet, the story is quite sound.

Overall, Mech-Touch deserves a special ovation for his 'stability'. Despite whatever I previously mentioned: truth is, for a writer with over 3 000 chapters, it is miraculous that the story itself did not crumble. Most light-novel writers' novels aren't so enduring. Chapeau!

They wrote about the cyber guy. You probably missed it, check out the chapters from that period. I won't spoiler, that's what it was, but it was unexpected. I don't agree with you about the holder. Think of her not as a person, but as a holy daughter. We were shown for the first time what the cult owns, what it can do, what atrocities are the norm for them, and what the holy daughter looks like. There's tons of information out there, and her identity is secondary. Besides, it has its own charm. They are described as new heroes, but they are merged almost immediately. It is thanks to this style of writing that we do not know who will die and when.

I like how you couldn't help but slap a little misogyny in there. "Oh no, women are interesting! So phony!"

I mean, as long as you ignore Tusa, Joshua, Ves, Verle, any of the old Venerables, and so on, sure! Only women are interesting!

Great read, The MC changes allot as his position in society rises, Doesn't overly rely on the system except in the beginning and the characters are fairly flushed out and relatable.

Dislikes: The Spiritual/Mechanical jargon can be a bit much, the Word Mech is used so damn much, MC gives in to Governments/His Wife a bit too much.

P.S. kinda hope Glorianna gets yeeted into the void.
