A good novel ruined by the constant face slapping and "everyone is against the mc" style side characters. Although the story progression and the power progression are good but i got tired quickly because someone somewhere is constantly plotting against the mc. The way in which the mc gets out of these plots is also very boring.

Also the mc used to be interesting to read in the beginning because he has two personas within him that he tries to balance. As chapters go on mc becomes a sort of young master persona with a lot of arrogance.

The plot is goes something like.
1st- Person in power says "long chen (colluded/is a traitor/is evil) with a certain power"
2nd- The crowd says "Yes he is" while some people know the truth while others are ignorant people
3rd- Everyone attacks him
4th- Kill some geniuses
5th- The crowd becomes afraid or worships him
6th- Dominate current map for sometime
7th - Change current map or Change Person in power
8th- Repeat

Plus Im getting tired of the constant schemes from the antagonist and righteous path.honestly I feel like long chen would do very well if he joined the corrupt path .

question about the story in general for those who know Long Aotian and the history with him

One of the best harem cultivation novel for me, why? Because MC treat all the girls equally there's no 1st 2nd wife or concubine BS (yeah I don't like a harem story where 1 girl is more favored, it is a waste of harem and it better for the story is just a romance between 2 of them instead of harem). It is one of the most harmonious harem that not only the MC, the girls too try to keep the harem possible and keep their relationship healthy without any toxicity.

It is repetitive yes, but if you already used to this kind of story it's not really a problem since even though it is repetitive the plot and story is still engaging.

What good in this novel is MC try to bring up his friends so that they don't left behind, he cultivate together with them forming a brotherhood, and they will still relevant even in future chapter.

So if you like harem, an MC with good moral (he will kind to kind person, but will become more evil to an evil person), while all the side character is always relevant until the chapter is far this novel is for you.

The peculiarity of the author is that he is very adaptive. The first arch is full of shit and very difficult to perceive. Apparently this was pointed out to the author and he began to change the plot. Yes, borrowing plot moves from more famous novels. But this does not negate the fact that the result was excellent.

At first I was starting to be a bit doubtful about the high score of this novel then I changed my mind ....I am around chapter 550 and I can say that while it Is true that the story is full of the classic cultivation novel cliché, with the MC always offending and fighting against stronger enemies and a repetition of the same "arc" with different characters and settings and power level but IT WORKS and FITs perfectly with the story. The author add a bit of comedy and the MC acting sometimes as a fool allowing to get a breath of fresh air both during and after the fighting arc/the MC being hunted arc. Moreover all of the clichés and the supposed plotholes are merged and justified in the story in a coherent way...All the elements you would hate in a cultivation novel like repetitive arcs, the MC always biting more than he can chew, long separations with love interest, seemingly dumb decisions are all explained in the story with reasons that fit the plot line. Since the beginning it is hinted about what js the essence of cultivation considered right in this novel : that is the cultivator (MC) never bending and always fighting against his enemies no matter what ....so everything that happens fit with this idea. Moreover the author explain why some things that would make me ( and most reader ) rage quit reading a novel, happen or not in this novel, in a way that fit the plot line and the world he created thus making a cliche cultivation novel with hateful elements in a incredibly good novel of the genre...The romance is also decent. I would prefere something better: the female characters they won't always stay with MC but it is done to allow them growing stronger, following their own path thus avoiding them being forgotten or discarded or at least this is the impression I get based on how the author developed the female companions of the MC till chapter 550...in short I think it is a worthy novel to read even if sometimes you need to bear with some elements that placed in another novel would probably make the novel to be labeled as trash. It is a gem
