        I still dont see where there's any immorality in this novel. Infact, in most novels involving magic and fantasy, u almost always find an mc with a harem, and multiple lovers even other than official wives and whatnot. Instead here, mc is quite conservative and strong-willed enough to only have one wife. This novel imposes strong arguments against such harem novels which advocate sexual immorality infact

          It's about the message the novel transmits to the audience. The author is writing what he did due to twisted modern sensibilities.
          I'm not partial to harem novels either and am I striving to be celibate, but it is natural for many animals, especially mammals, and one of the common sexual states of man to be polygamous. I'm not insulting monogamy to polygamy, but I am questioning what message the author transmits to his audience for his protagonist to eschew a childhood sweetheart to marry his handler he met whilst bored lonely and lazy on the job purely out of indoctrination both in novel and out of novel with no address, as if it is a normal development. The only explanation, again, is modern indoctrination.

          What is the meaning behind marrying one's handler irl? This alone suffices as reason to suspect the entire fiction as blatant propaganda by you know whos.

      Bro u need to understand that his relationship with Kamila wasn't based on that little bit of single night they had had at the start. If u read ahead, with alllll that drama u would see that their relationship is quite deep. Phloria is... yeah I get she might have been a better choice in some ways, but with how whiny u seem, I'm pretty sure if he just got married to Phloria without having any flings during his ranger phase, u would call that a cliche plot ryt?

    The magic is good. The story is well structured. The MC's mental problems are eternal. The romance is appreciated, but it realistically shows all of its bad sides. The pace became too slow. The enemies are always stronger than the MC, and he basically gets to become the pincushion that absorbs all damage for the whole country and beyond. Too many dramatic emotions: things could've been simpler, but it feels like the world itself puts a maze in the middle... The guardians want the short-lived humans to remember their lessons. Thus they have a non interference policy. Yet there's a fugin world crisis every day of the week. I don't remember why exactly I dropped... I just left the chapters accumulate while I read something else or lived life, then I never retook it. I had once jokingly commented that the novel will be 2000 chapters long, when it was just reaching 500. But I feel like it's been stretched so far, and it all is a description of woes.

      That's what I'm saying! Author really tanked quality just to drag it out. I think I stopped near chap 1200 just because it got so repetitive and unoriginal that I could have sworn I had read that exact chapter with different names before.

      Same for me. It was a constant cycle of ‘major disasters’ that MC can only ever beat by the skin of his teeth, then has to deal with annoying politics. He also seems to get super angsty for some reason, get some emotional epiphany and get backing to being angsty and whiny in another hundred chapters.

      His power level was also annoying. Supposedly very high, but we only ever see him struggle against anyone of note. Who cares if he can body annoying school children when he’s regularly up against some world ending villain of the week? Always feels like three steps forward, two steps back.

    Well I would have given 5 if not for



    One of my favourite novels. Reason I liked it so much is cuz of how realistic the author made it, both the emotional stuff and the magic stuff is quite realistic. Also this isnt the type in which "Ohhh she is the most beautiful jewel of the country..... and next chapter she starts liking mc for no reason (or some stupid reason)". So basically mc doesn't hoard all the cute chicks of the world. Infact he only has one wife (well he gets married, thought thats waaay later, smth like chap 1500+).

    And relationships are quite realistic. Author stressed one thing the most: a relation built on a lie will eventually crumble. If u wanna have a good relation then be prepared to get urself 'naked'...
