There are some very contrasting reviews here... Don't know which to believe... But I do have to say that imo Astral Pet Store wasn't that good especially on the later parts... So I hope writer actually remembers what they wrote

I read all the raws so here is my review.
First of all it's a good novel.
With that out of the way let's answer some potentialy important points in the novel more or less spoilerfree cause I have no clue how the spoiler tag thing works and am to lazzy to look it up.

General stuff:
The story starts directly after his birth and we progress along with the protagonist without major time skips until he is 16 years old.
He does not join any particular faction and likes to be as free as possible. (He is a teacher of an academy but that is more on a casual basis and he only teaches 3 lessons, it doesn't involve any major plot directions)
He treasures friends a lot and deals with his enemies as one would expect from a chinese cultivation novel.

Now the "unique" stuff
Unlike most generic cultivation novels, the mc here doesn't cultivate and isn't the slightest bit interested in it. This however doesn't mean he is weak but his strengh is never the focus of the story.
He was also born into a rich family but later cut ties with them after a major incedent, he still has friends in the family and treats them the same as always but the rest are strangers to him. (No you are part of the family and thats why you owe us everything bullshit like in many other novels) it happens once but that is very much part of the reason he left.
There are actually very few stupid characters except one who I am not going to mention here, those who read the story should know who I mean.
In general, the characters feel a lot more realistic than one might expect from a cultivation novel.

Some other stuff
The mc is op but not invincible, he still has to grow stronger but just does it differntly from others and there were moments he nearly lost his life in.
I didn't read the translation so I can't comment on the quality but I can make an educated guess that it is horrible after seeing the translator.
