      Would you be suprised if I tell you the world building was stolen from I Eat Tomatoes's book "Swallowed Star"? Author tried to make dual world type story which doesnt pan out and straight up copied IET's book worldbuilding about space civilization, the cultivation level after earth, and even plotpoint. If you've read that book this feel like an inferior copy with system. worse than a fanfic.

    I've read up to the currently latest chapters(ch. 1000 or so, at the time of this comment) and I've gotta say this novel is pretty decent. It's your generic face-slapping novel, but it doesn't play these situations seriously, and it's more like a comedy. This novel isn't really about the cultivation or actual plot so much as the "haha funny" part of it. The plot is still half-decent, but it's more about action rather than romance. MC is smart, sharp-tongued, but also just brute forces the problem if it's faster, easier, and better than making schemes and playing tricks.

    TL;DR This is a comedy novel. Plot is one-dimensional, but that's sort of not what the novel is about, so it's acceptable. Generic turn-brain-off-and-laugh novel. Go for it, take a read, it'll get way better after the intro.

      No, in the later arcs it is no longer a face slapping novel. Pretty much everyone in the light universe has heard of Wang Teng and he is respected as a sage - master of all arts, as well as a master of all elements. Countless people have witnessed him help kill gods, create formations that trap and slaughter armies, cleanse entire planets of blight, that sort of thing. He is really OP and is widely regarded as mysterious and unknowable.

      The MC remains just as funny, if not more so. He STILL doesn't have a girlfriend, while some are attracted to his power, they are turned away by his cheeky personality and habit of beating up girls. He treats everyone the same.

      Just about everything he says is pretty funny, and he infuriates and confuses everyone. He's a little crazy, he must be, because his thought process is so different than anyone else's.

      The plot is like swallowed star up to the wider universe arc, then it is pretty unique.

    Wtf Is going on in this novel. Dodou shopping this that this that every Damm time and then our Mc comes on moral highground representing justice, all he lacks is a cape and red underwear. Read 150 chapters but if I squash them all it will hardly amount to 50 chapter if written with average words not only for the sake of increasing chapters. As for if it gets better in future I've lost hope for thus one.

        I read 100s of novels most are cultivation and even one with 6000 chapters like Martial Peak and this is indeed one of the worst if not the worst
        at least one that I invested this much time into since I would just read a couple of chapters and know if it is bad or not and leave early to start a new one if it is
        btw I read tons of trash novels too that make no sense but are still enjoyable and they are included in this too lol

        I can't cover everything in because it is too much it would be just boring to read
        I tried my best to keep it short in both comments but the plot holes are just too much and I included a little only just the main ones
        edit: I am not telling anyone not to read it if anything they should and they should form their own opinion since what I don't like might be liked by others and so on

          Well, thank you for the answer. I hate understating abilities, and this is where it happens. The combat system should be holistic and if some hacks appear, they should work constantly and disrupt the balance of power, and not violate it only when it is convenient for the author.

            the funny thing is the MC literally called it a "cheat" so making a cheat restricted or only works where the author thinks it is needed is stupid
            it is okay if it happened from the start but the author just started later putting restrictions on when the MC didn't need to power up crazy fast anymore, like the first arc, where he just started and was the weakest, and when he became considered kinda strong the cheat just started giving small power-ups that are way worst than the start even tho he was fighting stronger people

      I totally agree with you. I've read around 1400 chapters, but I had to drop it because it got on my nerves; as you said, the author always tries to come up with something to nerf the Mc, but the last was the icing over the cake

        as for that arc, as you know it had a power limit so I can't really judge but yeah the author used it so he won't break through this early and waste time getting stronger later since it made no sense at all to give it a power limit, it should be genius competition after all, it should be (geniuses under 100 years old that are at least star level)
        since getting more powerful this young is what geniuses do, why tf would you want everyone at the same level lol

          What have u done man? The last I read this was months ago! And you just helped me to remember the atrocities I had to suffer reading through it. I won't have a good sleep for the next few days.

          On another note, you're right. I can't fathom the thought process of giving a Mc ridiculous cheat just to have second thoughts a hundred chapters later. The world described in the story is gargantuan
          My point is, even if he levels up fast, there is too much to explore. So I find these nerfs completely unneeded. And for that arc
          even if he missed it, so what? why do authors always try to come up with a linear plot? At every mention of a secret realm or something you are sure he will always take part in it, and this just somewhat makes the plot a little unrealistic.

          Novels with broken cheats (in the limits of keeping a certain balance) are something I read with relishing passion. But reading something like this is just sad.

        I think what did it for me most is the author's forgetfulness or at least his trying to play the audience as dumb and pretending he never did something by totally ignoring it and revealing something different later

        (this is just a little story so you get why I might sound a little too annoyed in my comment lol)
        I read IMITA (Infinite Mana in the Apocalypse) at the time, and I found it interesting since the author used the system he gave very well, so I started stacking chapters when I ran out, and started reading this one thinking it might be the same... Nah
        it's like having one author use the system the best way possible and better in IMITA,
        and the other nerfing it all the time here
        so I kinda got the "tf" feeling when I got that far because he used the system very poorly.

I don't like how Adui become I mean this firmament arc or whatever it called(infinite realities + the one before) things are just boring... if you were reading IMITA from the first chapters you can tell that after Noah went first step ( a chapter called a step that usher in a new era or whatever where he officially embark his journey in the infinite realities) he is going in slowmo bruh the reason why I first started IMITA even tho it has harem + mc doing some very dumb shit for his girls and the cliche apocalypse was because of the rapid progression the anticlimactic fights and Noah being too op but now hmmm nah and from the moment I started feeling like that a lot of loopholes started to come up and me wondering around many many sh#t + the biggest reason and the last was after a mass release Adui said that the story IMITA will have thousands chapters more and I was HEELLLL NAH

            that is why I said I found it interesting, I meant the system because even tho he has too many fillers but tbh, he wrote one of the best system novels ever, he used it very very well that's why I compared the 2 novels with the system only not about how good it is
            I left for some time before, I came back to find like 50-something chapters to read, yet I was barely able to get one main point in the story, so yeah... it's not a novel you can read daily because most of it just dragging for no reason, no matter how good he worded it or the quality of the writing, it still gonna be boring nothing
            I like the novel because the MC is always smarter or more powerful than his enemies, you can just say that I wanted something fresh after reading all of the "MC struggling to survive" kind of novels.
            while it is good and fun to read, I think I need like 200 chapters at least to get some progress in the story, otherwise, I am just gonna read chapters about his clones doing shit or his power-ups, which was fine in the beginning, but around 1700 chapters later, I think it is enough lol

              Tbh I would like it if IMITA ended after the cosmic arc without this whole primordial thing .... if just he beated the champion and live a free life forever ah yeah another thing when he was still at those cultivation realm less than the galacy realm they said that those people are immortal but his panel was giving him an exact age I thought it was so forced... and the whole family arc with his boy , mother and father I really didn't like it... its obv Adui just wanna make money rn... and the system parts he doesn't really have one its just a typical one...               I liked how you said that you don't mind long novels but novels that shouldn't be long, because a novel RI is, if it keeps on going as it was, then I wouldn't mind reading upto even 7k tbh. A big number yes, maybe even daunting to some people but when a novel is so good that you start despairing when you see it coming close to an end or feel like you are catching up to the recent updates, it magically having even a hundred more chapters is a wonderful feeling, let alone a thousand or more. But there is also those novels where you drop it because you feel like there is no progress, heck, seeing it close to ending might be a relief coz you prolly had a better novel than what you are reading that you would be glad to give a try.

I have been waiting mainly because i heard the MC's a dick basically and i never really liked those types of MCs and then reading your review on top of that, yeah, no thank you. I read cultivate peacefully for a 1000 years and honestly, that messed my shit up. I used to be able to read some of these monotonous brain dead C tier stories but after dealing with the a MC who is actually cautious and not just rush in like an idiot and deal with stupid shit over and over again just for the sake of the story progressing, i learned that i cant deal with these shitty authors anymore.         yeah, it is pretty annoying and he is a massive dick, like a robot MC that can't have normal interactions or friends, you are either beneath him as a subordinate or you are gonna be used by him.
        which is fine btw, but not here, because the author is trying to portray him as a good guy somehow which pissed me off lol
        if you want a dick character it is fine, don't let him be dick yet act like he is right tf is with this mindset

        if so... yeah, it is a great fun novel to read, I really liked the MC and the SC too which is rare, because I don't really like MCs like him, being cowardly, or the likes, but the author did his job perfectly with balancing his character and making him likable.
        and I think it is better to not read these novels honestly lol
        they gonna ruin your taste for novels and gonna make you feel reading a good novel is boring
        it happened to me before, ruined supreme magus and Reverend Insanity
        so I advise you to read "the legendary mechanic" to wash the trash off, that is what got me back to good novels after all.

            so imma answer what I got:
            1-yeah, I said in my comments that the author kept nerfing him for the sake of making the story longer, it's terrible to do in a novel, if you set rules in a novel you better follow them it is as simple as that.
            2-I won't fully agree with his master thing, because he has to go alone to be accepted so he gotta take care of himself (which is something the author did to make it longer too... pointless) and that no one else can see the point, so he, rightfully, fears that people might wanna take it if they know.
            but still, there are tons of ways he can pick points and maybe get stronger than most people in a few days, like; simply asking someone strong from the Immortals and stronger people around him to show him how they fight and shit, or to teach him something, yet he acts like this option isn't even there
            it's a novel with a good potential ruined by bad writing honestly

      Can you if possibly explain in depth what swallowed star is, like is cultivation, how exactly do they cultivate, the cultivators realms or tiers, you know stuff like that, and then get to the mc, heard he's a busy body is that true.
      The reason why I'm curious is because I read this novel (permanent martial arts) which to me was a whole new concept that I have never seen before, like gene lock and what not. I like stuff that deals with genes and bloodlines and that novel fits my novel to a t. And in the comment sections people were commenting stuff like they see swallow star in that novel, so I am confused and intrigued by it.
