I'm hesitating on the tragedy tag.

one of the best novels I've managed to encounter. the story is good with nice a comedic act done by mc at times. especially when he needed to earn thank you tokens . the things he did just to earn the token is quite funny.

don't get me wrong, the mc is decisive and ruthless enough to his enemies.

and i also liked that the story isn't a harem,
which most authors are fixated on and ruined the story, specifically if its done poorly.


overall, just give it a try. it's really good. well, for me it is :)

Latest Chapter I read is 363, It was really good that you wont even be able to notice what chapter you currently are. Until you get distracted from reading it.
It's good to continously read but boring when you are busy so you read itt infrequently. I recomend reading this during your breaks to read continously.

I hope there is no romance or harem

Okay so here goes a comprehensive review of one of the most underrated novels.

The plot very well connected to all the arcs and all the travelling and journeying of not only the main characters but also his supporting characters is not without logic. World building is something which could have had a bit more work because there is not many mentions of world outside of mainland China but it doesn't tire out the plot nor does it become recessive since it flows and is not stagnant in one place. The novel can be categorized as a Psuedo-postapocalytic novel since human society has made progress since the cataclysm. The best feature has got to be the comedic undertone. It's by far the funniest one i've read and the consistency of humor baffles me, and i mind you i've read Beware of Chicken, Collecting Attributes from Today and many more. What set aparts The First Order is that the level of humor throughout the series is high above the first 150 or so chapters of CAfT or Beware of Chicken. Dedicated love Interest. The one thing which irks me is that even though both the MC and FMC is set and both know their feelings and even travel together there is not much 'steamy scenes' or even hugging or kissing scenes depicted. Hell they don't even hold hands together. So there is romance but it lot of time to build. But to people expecting r-18 scenes, sorry to disappoint you. But those who want pure dedicated love, you're welcome.

Side characters power scaling is done just right, no confusing power metric. And even though MC has a cheat he doesn't even use it on more than four occasions.
The plot is extremely mysterious in the sense that MC has lot to do with how the situation in the world came to be. So you definitely won't be disappointed. I decided to write a review, and my first ever because i believe the novel is one of the most underrated ones.

Read it. It's worth your time. Comedy is good too.

Biggest Reason to read : It have no gramatical mistakes. Translation quality is superb. Translator had left postnotes to express idoms and phrases used in novel and links to wikipedia for some chinese dishes, maps or things we don't know about to help us Visualize.

Story Developement :
The story is superb. Its unique and have a unpredictability that keeps you wanting more. Its pace is not too fast nor too slow. MC goes on to many adventures : wilderness survival, student life, hitmen etc for more see spoilers. Its a Story just like literature novels so please don't start juding that it will remain same througout.
There are very hard times in the starting 200 chap or so but situation starts changing for good after that.

Character Developement :
All the Characters are unique and have amazing personalities. The depth of characters are further unfolded, everytime the story progress. The MC is ruthless and cunning but have a bottom line. MC do what he need to, for the survival. The other character seems to be baggage at first but achieved great things after ch550.

World Developement :
The World feels complete and Still manages to induce so many new things that it can surprise you. Its post apoclyptic + Wilderness + Modern Warfare.

The Main quote from Story are great and expresses situation of post acoplyctic era,
let me leave one here :
"Don't Let the sorrows of this era become your sorrows as well"
