【A new work from the author of 'Astral Pet Store'!】

In chaotic times, seek survival; in prosperous times, seek fame.

Despite being weathered by the vicissitudes of life, the Great Yu Dynasty still found itself in an era of prosperity.

In the northwest, a young man travels nine thousand miles on foot, single-handedly slaying a great demon, striving for lifelong glory.

At Dragon Lake, an unparalleled master descends to the mortal world, founding a sect that will be remembered for centuries.

In the imperial capital, a sage preaches to thousands, his disciples spread across the provinces, leaving an eternal legacy.

And within a martial family estate in Qingzhou City,

A child spends his days idly, only playing chess, painting, fishing, and playing the lute.

Years later…

A sword rises, its dragon-like smoke stretches three thousand miles, and with one strike, nine cities are vanquished!

Among the myriad laws of the world, only I attain the Dao.

First of all, I don't think this author is any good. No offense, but these two works are just copies of each other. There is nothing new, and therefore this work is also boring and even annoying. If you read the previous work, you should understand me.

So after reading his other work, Astral Pet Store, you're saying they're the same? By that logic, all Xianxia novels are the same and so there's no point in reading them after reading only one. Am I understanding it clearly?

I don't understand. Can you explain? Because from what I can tell, this one is pure cultivation type of novel. The author's other novel was about raising pets and using them similar to Pokemon. So trying to understand where the similarity is.

The similarities are in their plots. In the way their main characters act. In the way everything comes easy to them. In the fact that the rest of the world is supposed to be dumber than the main character. And by the way, yes, all works in the cultivation genre are the same. I have read quite a few of them, but the template is the same everywhere. Finding something truly unique is just incredibly difficult. The same "Lord of Mystery" can be attributed to cultivation

Черт, если ты читаешь это, значит, твои родители умрут через 5 лет. Чтобы снять это проклятие, ты должен вставить этот комментарий еще к 5 мангам. Мне так жаль, пожалуйста, прости меня. Я не хотел рисковать.

The worst family drama I've ever read.
Worst system (MTL 300+, the system will get worse in the future)
    The worst cultivation world
So I don't know, there is only one good thing about this novel. That's because he doesn't hide his power too much. Other than that, the novel is so bad.
His family, female characters, enemies are all very ordinary.
So far, he has only mentioned the names of 1 out of 10 enemies. The young man in green clothes, tree demon, the bull demon, the void is saint, the f#cking nicknames. There is not one memorable bad character.
    2/10

Huh the family drama is lit. Its a twist. Its like waiting for your protector to come and feel safe and free, only to find out with him theres more restrictions and youre never enough.

What are you even talking about dude.
This is probably one of the best System Cultivation Novels that have ever been translated (who knows what gems are hiding out there that are still hidden).
The family conflict is quite well done, but it would have been frustrating if it weren't available to binge as it is now.
When one gets past the Mortal Realm, it becomes infinitely better still.
The characters are, contrary to what you said, quite memorable.
Uncle Feng, Lie Saint, Source Ancestor, God King, Emperor Yu, Li Muxiu, etc.
They are all unique and fleshed out.
The System is OP, but as a Child of Fate, the one chosen by the Author, it is only natural, isn't it?
In fact, the further one goes, the clearer it becomes that the System is strong, but isn't OP. It still relies on his own efforts, even if they are "unorthodox".

This novel is a clear, easy, 4,9/5. If one wants to throw out the word 'masterpiece', I wouldn't strictly say that it is untrue. This is, with ease, the best Cultivation Novel I have read in quite some time. And it only gets better with time, the World being fleshed out and evolving. There is a Heaven Beyond Heaven situation, but that is normal. Without that, it wouldn't be a Cultivation Novel. It doesn't get boring either, like in others, where the Plot is literally being repeated every few chapters. This one is transformative, to a certain extent. Reading this is not a waste of time.

Was only satisfying to read till his father came back, after that, it just becomes a rage inducing ride.

I'm just gonna stop here at chap 218-219 of the MTL, just to settle my heart.

Dude, that's the exact thing that annoyed me to the point I just quit. Everything was so fun and well until the father was introduced, acting like whatever even though he wasn't part of the most important years of his child.

Well, yes, he tried to be mindfull at the start but the whole drama didn't take long and the mc also realiesed that his dad was trash so all good. In every other chinese fiction the mc would have to put up with it and probably still thinks that's the right thing to do.

I read the first chs and before I go deeper can someone tell me if this is high fantasy cultivation (xianxia) or more mundane martial art oriented (wuxia), I'm not particularly fond of the wuxia type, thanks👍
