    it's an ok story. if you want to see some quick progress, both in strength and MC's maturity, this is probably not for you. the overall naivety of the story (MC and author) is kinda hard to swallow, but the refreshing comedy, sweet romantics, and the (rare) wild sexual releases are truly the POUNDation of the story wish

    pity that author doesn't elaborate on the seggs, and most importantly hr never shied away from too many forced plot

    Zero character development, the author shows some parts as if he’s experienced a lot of growth and matured. But all that’s happened is that he went from “My purpose is to get laid” to “My purpose is still to get laid but im more discreet about it”. It’s a good novel, but frustrating to read as MC is portrayed as an “Alpha” but is just just a thirsty guy putting with a degree of self restraint. Like good job restraining yourself from diving into every hole you see, what a noble person you are?

    Simply put, he’s not really a defined character, it’s just a copy and paste mc in a different situation. He’s not dumb, but he’s shown as a calculating and smart person as if it wasn’t plot armor that he doesn’t die like 30 times every arc (not even exaggerating that number by much).

      Well, I actually do agree with you, kind of, but it's still pretty good, even if you say that this MC is copy paste, atleast this one commits to its genre/tag, some stories add the mature tag, and then double back half-way, so in that sense the MC is doing a good job in holding up to the tags- especially atleast it was pretty entertaining for me.

      Of course, you don't read this for a serious plotline, I mean come on, just the idea of an omnipotent system is cringe if you want to take the discussion to that level, but in terms of the comedy/mature/ecchi tags? yeah it's pretty entertaining alright.

      Also zero character development? come on now, this has comedy/erotica has more development than most "serious" novels I've read.

        I can't disagree with Marie comment, the MC has some degree of character development, not much but it still have more than most novels I had read. And I can't deny the plot is somehow interesting.

          You both make valid points, it was interesting read this. But it’s been over 1100 chapters now and the way each arc ends follows a similar structure. It is a system Novel after all so im not expecting some carefully thought out and intricate things. It’s more of a, it would require the same if not less effort by adding some simplicity rather than having 6 plot twists back to back just so have everything work out in favour of mc.

          Although there’s been clear progress in the storyline, it feels as if he’s still running in the same place. Last few arcs most things have gone his way, yet it just feels like he’s doing side missions no matter what he’s doing.

    Right now I'm at chapter 1100 and I think my review still holds true. The only complain I have is that this last arc is a bit boring.

    Good points:
    - the mc is simply great imo, but he is very perverted and for the most part if it doesn't involve women or any serious matters he is quite laid back. So if you are looking for a serious MC then this isn't for you probably.
    - harem/women part of the novel is great and I think it is better than any other Chinese cultivation novel I've read tbh. Every single one of the girls has their own distinct personality and even if you don't like them at first they always end up becoming likable at some point. A lot of this women aren't officially I guess in his harem but I'm sure they'll enter.

    - Rage System, so the MC's has this cheat system that functions with rage points that he gets when he pisses people off and all I can say is it works perfectly well for what it is/was intended. I like it.
    - the plot is nice cuz it is not too serious but it isn't a slice of life either. It's kinda like the Divine emperor of death where you've got your regular slice of life chapters and then you've got the more complex/plot developing ones. It's well balanced imo.
    - it has r18/sex or erotic moments which is nice. They aren't fully skipped for the most part but we don't get more than a few sentences maybe paragraphs. It's a Chinese novel tho so that's already good.
    - comedy. This novel is simply as funny as it gets. It is amazing how many times I've laughed out loud reading this. Here's an example of the latest chapter:

    - the Cultivation system as of right now I have some mixed feelings towards it cuz I don't dislike, but if the author chooses to leave it at the Grandmaster level and doesn't expand it in the future i think it will be a bit disappointing.

    Bad points:
    - Chinese history info dumps. I absolutely hate how the author mixes a lot of China's history in the novel because for people like me who aren't Chinese and are reading a cultivation novel i simply can't be bothered to actually learn about China's kings and emperor's and dynasties. As of right now it was only mentioned extensively in 2 arcs but in those 2 it got really bad cuz there's really a lot of info dumps about it. If u can pull through tho the story itself is good.
    Annoying things, not necessarily bad so yeah whoknows:
    - The Mc's mother in law tho only until their relationship improves which takes a good while to happen. She can be very mean and annoying to him but if u put urself in her shoes it is a bit understandable.
    - Aphrodisiac and the author's passion for it.


    I'd rate the novel a solid 4 tbh, maybe 4.5 cuz I've been reading it daily for months now and I just can't seem to get tired of it. The mc is still funny, the character's interactions are good and the plot is progressing nicely.
