    This really sounds extremely weird to me, Cultivation world is full of hardship, I mean what you expecting?
    Instead of going through Hardship, give MC a broken system so he can sit in one place and show off to other hard workers.

      I thought so as well. But you can basically think of it like this. MC's cheat is basically a sage system. It ends up being that he can do a lot of other things that don't count as cultivation. The resting is just the method to powerup his sage system. He still ends up having to do the work, the systme just makes it easier.
